Laur.. that car is a Mazda Miata..
also known as an MX-5 in some parts of the world..
DOHC 1.8 litre engine, 5-speed manual transmittion..
Practically single handedly revived the 'Roadster' class of modern moter vehicles.
I want my Fiance to buy one, and get rid of her clapped out Hyundai..
Just so I can drive it sometimes.

Welcome Aboard Jeff.
It's always good to see fresh faces around here, I hope to see you in the skies above Emma Field some day.
-
Well gentlemen, and Esteemed Lady readers.
I for one can say that in 18 months time I do believe I shall be continueing to Battle with Fs9..
Due to my entire simming Budget , And just about every other Budget, being consumed at an Astronomical Rate.. I shall not go into details here, too early to make any announcements.
However.. I am open to contribute to this disscussion, for I to feel the sprit of the EFFC should remain, even if our Beloved airfield shall fall by the way side.

we need a std we could do with every1 getting the Reno racing package and a color scheme, wonder if we could come up with 20 or so new colors for our own racing.
Ok Your ON!!
I'll be flying this one..
Repaint of the Reno Racing Mustang available at Avsim.com
Called the Angel Of Death
Pic's taken Adjacent to the "Ross River Dam" South of YBTL, Australia.
Perhaps the Pylons could be arranged around the shores of the Dam?

don efc136/cub03
Plenty of Open ground Just a little ways west of YBTL..
there's a Big Dam with low hills/mountians all around..
and I'm sure they won't mind if we close off the Access road near by to use as a landing strip...
Who's up for some Pylon Racing in Australia?
-
Sounds a good idea, but how far?
Far enough for you all to have to Dismantle the wings off your Craft and Load 'em in to the back of Don's (Bush Simmers) AN-225 Myria.
-

As opposed to the "Party" going on in some ATC Towers

They Play Cricket in Victoria ! The first time I saw it the score was something like 1200 to nothing and the otherside haden't had a turn at bat yet????Very depressing.
Who were they playing?
The Under 12 Girls side
-
Hey cool,, now the EFC has Virtual Residency in Washington state too..
So how much does it cost to Build at Cricket field (4WA2)? 8)
Can we get out and have a game (Of Cricket) while the strip is not in use..
Perhaps us Australians and the British here can Educate the rest of you how to play the "Gentleman's Game"

... helped sort out the potential project stopping fault with Concordes intakes...
...came up with many innovative designs and procedures throughout to name a few of his credits.
The most impressive thing was that to him it was just a job - no fame, no credit, just do it.
Sounds like Sir Stanley Hooker.. BUT Sir Hooker never worked on any of the V2 rocket projects.
Hooker helped Rolls Royce, improve the Merlin V12 engine for the Spitfire and Hurricane.
Worked with the 'Whittle' Turbojet, turning it into a viable production engine.
He joined Bristol Aeroplane Company, and made them so successful that Rolls Royce was forced to buy Bristol because it was the best way to catch up.
He also worked on the engines for the Concorde and Harrier Jets.
Sir Stanley Hooker revieved a Kighthood, for rescueing the Rolls Royce Company from the brink of Bankrupcsy while they struggled to overcome problems with the RB211 Jet Engine, the same engine fitted to some of the first production Boeing 747's
Sir Hooker Recieves alot of respect from me..
So do alot of Aviations great designers.

Yep Kittinger Had some Big Cajones..
but another one I admire is..
'Tex' Johnson.. the man who Barrel Rolled a Boeing 707 During a Flight test!!!!
and One other.. Who's name escapes me presently.. But he Landed and took off from an Aircraft Carrier in a C-130 Hercules..
Now Gentle men.. that takes GUTS!

Sounds like a nice drink to me Bill.
Might do with one myself .. HEH..
I still don't understand why Francois is looking at the scenery Driving/flying by when the Eye-Candy behind him, and over his left shoulder is so good. :?

cheers,
don efc136/cub03
I believe his Name is Cletus,
He has a 4 Bore shot gun, and a Nasty disposition to anyone who breaks the KEWL Aircraft clasification rules
-
Indeed, I'll jump on the Festive Band Wagon also..
Wishing every one a Very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

I'm thinking Maddog has his Priorities in order..
I know I'd do the exact same thing.
-
Niice..
I personally prefer my Aircraft to Fly (planes).. rather than Beat The Air Into Submittion (Helicopters).
But I may just make an exception in this ones case..
I know it's Off topic here but while were talking aboyt Choppers..
Why is there no AI Heilo's in the FS world???
-
...Still dreaming Europe - Australia in less than 3 hrs ....
Yeah, Australia to East Coast USA in less then 4 hours.. It'd be nice..
-
My reccommended EFFC Aircraft are:
Piper Tri-Pacer, *available from Avsim*, Conventional and Tricycle undercarige. Good flight characteristics
and
for those who have to fly Somthing bigger and Heavier.. Into Emma..
the Dash7 created by Milton Shupe..
Of course you all thought i was going to sayMike Stones DHC-4 Caribou didn't you?
Ha Ha fooled ya. While I Love The 'Bou, It didn't come with a Panel, and she's not the easiest thing to fly if your a beginner. Come to think of it, the Dash 7 is no picnic either going in to Emma on a Windy day
Who is (are) Your Hero(es) of Aviation
