  1. I hate to admit it, but I have never successfully been able to add a paint job. So far, out of fear of messing up, I have stuck with payware! I run FS9 with the Porter, so if anyone can spare the time, I'd be really grateful for a step by step guide to installing this Emma paint job. I'm sure it's pretty simple, but then - so am I

  2. Welcome indeed! I have just got back on-line after a house move and three months. I had a fantastic time this weekend in FS9 in the new FSD Pilatus and Carenado Centurion (thanks for your help with getting that into FS9 Francois) and real weather (wow!). Trying to get into Sultan with low cloud in the surrounding mountains was, let's say, tricky! It's nice to return and see same old faces - even if most of them are on the world tour right now!

On another note - it would be really helpful to have an Emma Field (must have/most anticipated) sticky, so everyone can keep up with hot downloads/payware etc. For those of us who can only 'dabble' at the weekends - it's difficult to keep up! Just a thought.

    See you around.

  3. OK - I hate having to ask what must be a VERY basic question. However, I am trying to upgrade my Carenado Cessna into FS9. I have downloaded and installed the upgrade package which gives me a lovely grey shell in FS9. But how do I get the original FS2002 version to install into FS9? :? I have tried changing the path on the install wizard to ..fs9/aircraft.

By the way - if you haven't tried Active Camera for 2004, give the free download a go - the simulated head movement effect is great!

    Thanks

  4. Hi,

I have downloaded the fantastic Georender upgrades (1 and 3), together with Georender 6 into FS9. Now I keep getting 'Flight Simulator has encountered difficulties and needs to shut down'. In particular, last night - every time I tried to use the Flight Planner from the Menu (Sultan to Diamond), the computer got to the load screen and the above problem occured. Seems to be OK if I use the 'Got to' command. The only other download I have in FS9 is the FSD Pilatus.

    Any thoughts appreciated!

  5. Hi Guys,

Sorry - I know this is a basic question, but I'm still not connected to the internet at the new home. Regarding the Georender series, I have 1-5 for FS2002. Is the process for loading onto FS2004 a case of downloading the FS2004 version from Lago and reinputting the product code from the 2002 versions I have?

Also, is there a version of Emma Field (planned) for FS2004?

Thanks - and hope to be back at Emma soon!

  6. Thanks to you all for the advice. I'll try the new drivers once I am set up at my new home. I'm only able to get on-line at work at the moment, so no Emma for the time being! I assume someone is working on a 'new and improved' Emma for FS9 - and maybe Fritz will get time to hack a few ft off those pesky trees

    Cheers

    :)

  7. Hi all,

Not been round for ages - moving house, work etc. Nice to check in and see what's going on. Since getting FS9, I have been disappointed with strangely grainy scenery textures and lack of reflections (especially notable on the B737). This is after having downloaded the 'latest?' Raedon driver from the site a month ago. I'm running XP with Athlon 2700+ and all the sliders to the max. Any advice appreciated. Once I'm in the new house, look forward to being back on line with you in FS9.

  8. Got FSCOF today and spent 2hrs faffing around to sort out drivers. If you are running a recent ATi card (mine is a Raedon 9700 Pro), make sure you are fully updated or your FSCOF experience will not happen. For normal connections, go to the ATi site and in the drivers section, download Catalyst and Control Panel (items 1 and 2 on the list) and then all will be well. Sorry if this is obvious, but I am a technophobe and have wasted an evening trying to sort this out, including a $10 call to the ATi careline in Canada!

Anyone running FS2002 with Emma and Georender has nothing to fear from FSCOF - at least not for a few months. Nice weather. OK aircraft. Doesn't beat Emma tho!

    See you soon.

  9. Nick - you will give me a bad reputation :) This follows my (almost) succesful attempt to get an A320 into Forks. An extra 100ft would have been helpful. I am 99% GA, so this is a plea to Fritz not to ban me. I got dumped by the server too. Hope things go well for the fly in tomorrow - I look forward to seeing everyone there. BTW Fritz - an F-16 with fully extended brakes and with 50% power is a very stable machine to get into Emma. It was Nick who burnt the grass by the Clubhouse though...

  10. Guys,

I know this has probably been covered off a thousand times, but in very simple terms can someone explain what will be the likelihood of being able to run existing add-ons (including GeoRender) in FSCOF? Bottom line is, when everyone upgrades to FSCOF, will they still be able to participate in the club as it is - will FS2002 flyers be able to fly alongside those running FSCOF? :?

    Cheers

  11. Hello Nick - that was a great Sunday Evening! It was my second day on-line at Emma and subsequently I have been downloading the Georender stuff like a lunatic! Popped back during the week and tried to follow Chaders through mountains in cloud. Needless to say, I had a major wipeout and Chaders (he is a lunatic!) made it without a scratch. Look forward to seeing you guys again at the club. LOL. Incidentally, the first time someone replied LOL, I thought he was suggesting 'Lots of Love' - nearly logged-off in shock!
