Hi Pete,
I have version 4.8 FSUIPC with Wide FS all working excellently with FSX/PMDG 747x.
I have purchased a VRinsight mcp combo II panel, which I am told, I have to use Linda to set the combo panel up for use with PMDG 747, can I use linda to control only, alltitude, heading, flight director, auto pilot, auto throttle, Eifs controls, & vertical speed control, and leave everything else to FSUIPC.
Also if you have any advice on setting up this it would be very much appreciated, as it took me a long time to set up FSUIPC and I dont want to upset it
Kind Regards
Dave Edmunds.

I want run FSC 9.2 on my laptop and FSX on my desktop,
I am having difficulty running the database manager ( ie cant find correct path to scenery files) I have followed the set up for network computers set files to read and write on both pc and laptop, I have on my desktop 2 drives, C drive is windows 7 64, and H drive is FSX.
So I find my scenery folder in C\users\Name\appData\Roaming\Microsoft\Fsx\,
Then I copy scenery.cfg. changing the name to scenerycfg.fsc into the FSX folder on my H drive where FSX is installed, is that correct?
Now I have to create two network drives Please can this be explained because in the Appendix Network, instructions of the PDF files on the disc, it seems to only explain for windows XP or may be Vista, because I do not get the same pictures when I follow the instructions below
, ( ie open my computer
( open the drive on which FSX is installed
(right click on the folder containing FSX
( choose properties
(choose card sharing
(select share this folder on the network in network sharing and security
(select allow network user to change my files etc etc
I hope this makes sense

Thanks Pete,
I have updated to 4.84, Disabled my conttroller in FS and set up everything through FSUIPC4. "which seems to be working excellenty", when I had the controller set through FS, I could view quickly around the 3D cockpit using the space bar and mouse, is there a way I can do this using FSUIPC, as its no longer available with the controller disconnected
Kind Regards

Hi Pete
I would like to set my throttle axis using FSUIPC, I use a Saitek pro flight yoke and 1 throttle lever for all four engines of my PMDG 747 400,
Before I attempt this, do I need to delete the throttle Z axis in the settings menu of FSX.
If I get on allright with the throttle I will set the ailerons & elevators through FSUIPC as well, and again do I need to delete the axis in the FSX settings, Appoliges for for being cautious but last time I attempted this it all went wrong, ie unable to get throttles to idle,
kind Regards

The registry fix seems to have done the trick

Hi Pete,
I want to set up my single saitek throttle to work through my registered FSUIPC rather than through FSX,
I tried to do this before but ran into problems where by throttle idle was at 40% and was unable to change this, so please can you walk me through the things I need to to do,
What do I do about throttle axis in FSX? are there any other items that I need to uncheck or cancel or delete in FSX settings
I have attached my flight sim build spec
Kind Regards

Hi Pete,
Thanks for your reply, I have re registered my copy of FSUIPC on my new Hard Drive, and all is well.
I have purchased Real Envoirment Extreme, will I have to disable clouds and wind in FSUIPC to use this software? or will they run side by side
Many Thanks

When I put in the validation code it does not recognise it.
I transffered fsuipc from my old drive to the desk top then I try to run from there to register but with no luck

How do you "assign reverse thrust"? There are reversers and revers zones on normal throttles. And there's absolutely no way anything to do with throttles can affect flaps -- you probably have an assortment of mis-assignments.
Your settings are all in the INI file, not in the DLL. The DLL is just code! If you want to delete your mistakes and start again, simply delete the INI file before running FS. Without any specific settings FSUIPC doesn't touch any of the controls whatsoever.
You need to be more specific about where you are assigning things and what you are actually assigning. If you are assigning in FSUIPC you MUST remove assignments for the same axes in FS itself. You can of course assign in FS instead.
There is no "centre" for the normal generic throttle. the "centre" settings for throttles (to allow a reverse zone -- not what you are doing, a reverser) only apply to the separate throttle controls for each engine. If you want to use those justmake sure you don't set the "No Reverse Zone" option for the 4 throttles. As the documentation explains, if you want a reverse zone on a single all-engine throttle you have to map the generic throttle to the other 4 then calibrate in the 4 throttles page.
If you haven't assigned anything to flaps in FSUIPC, then FSUIPC can't have anything to do with your Flap problem. You need to see what you've done in FS.
None of that is at all relevant. The relevant data is how you are assigning in FS, how you are assigning in FSUIPC, and what you are actually doing there.
I recommend you delete the FSUIPC4.INI file, then read the FSUIPC User Guide a little more, and try again. If you don't understand something, please ask specific questions. Please don't plough into things headlong until you know what you are doing.
Regards
Pete
Thanks Pete
I have deleted The FSUIPC. INI file, and I am back to normal. I want to have Reverse thrust on the bottom of my throttle lever, how do I set this in FSUIPC, { I have read the guide its not easy to understand being so new to this]
kind regards

Hi Pete
I have a new registration of FSUIPC, I set it up and was working properly until I tried to to Assign Reverse thrust, Now I cant get the throttles working, and the flaps jump from 5 to 20 when I try to fly, I have tried going back to normal defaults but still no good.
I have deleted the dll file and run FSX again and all is working ok.
When I reinstall FSUIPC I get the same problem.
I am using a saitek pro flight yoke and three levers. Z for throttle and X for landing gear, and I tried to use Y for reverse thrust thats when it all went wrong.
I have tried deleting Z axis in FS, and tried to set Z axis in FSUIPC for the single Throttle, and noticed that ther is no centre set buttton when trying to set the throttle.
Also I am unable to sort out the flap problem, this is the first time I have used FSUIPC so dont no much about it.
I have attached my flight sim build spec, FSX is installed on my D drive with a simple path of D\FSX, not using X86 documents and settings I only use this PC for FSX and nothing else,
Hope this all makes some sense to you, and would appreciate some help with this
