  1. Don't despair guys, there is a solution.

    1.) Download this file http://www.mediafire.com/?yjz1h0yzydm

2.) Copy the following 4 files into all of the MD500 texture folders and the helicopter should display as it should. Let us know if you run into anymore problems.

This is not an official fix. The helicopter as with all Nemeth FSX helicopters are designed for FSX SP2 and I use FSX RTM (no service packs/patches)

  2. Hi,

yes the Bolkow 105 is the next project in the pipeline, but don't know if it will be the short body variant (BO105CB) or the long body variant (BO105CBS) as the manual that was provided to Peter has dimensions for both models, I'll let the boys chime in on the matter.

  3. Rick,

Does all of your default FSX aircraft have reflections on them? I ran into this problem when I installed FSX SP1 over the base installation, I lose reflections to aircraft and water surfaces...in turn, I lose advanced animations, light bloom and any other special effects...I can't even install SP2 and/or Acceleration without a dedicated Nvidia or ATI card  Sad to say, I am sticking to FS9 for a long while as FSX is a huge mess for me to be dealing with right now.

  4. Jerry,

Most, if not all of the Nemeth Designs products should work fine in FSX, but beware of the following:

1.) The rotors will disappear behind clouds and scenery

2.) Custom animations will be lost, especially the throttles and engine starters in the virtual cockpit

3.) Mixed flight dynamics/engine types don't go well in FSX. What this means is that if you use the EC120 in FSX and startup the engine, you will get tons of smoke pouring out from behind the engine cowlings.

4.) Some custom avionics/instruments may or may not work well.

To get the helicopter setup in FSX, observe the following:

1.) Install the helicopter into the Flight Simulator 9 folder (if you still have this installed)

2.) Copy the helicopter folders from the Flight Simulator 9/Aircraft folder into the Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Simobject/Rotorcraft folder.

3.) Copy the Gauges folders (EC120B and EC120pol) from the Flight Simulator 9/gauges folder into the Microsoft Flight Simulator X/gauges folder

4.) Fire up FSX and the EC120 should be listed in the aircraft selection menu.

Any questions or problems, let us know.

  5. Did you mean the radome on the nose from the reply I sent you a couple days ago? If so, my sincere apologies, I thought you meant the snow shoes on the rear skids. I wasn't sure if Peter was including the feature in his project....its in his and Tamas hands now if they decide to create additional models (expansion) to the base EC135.

  6. Gents,

Now that the EC135 is released and the BO105 is next on the drawing boards, how about if we all team up and gather all the needed photos and information required for the boys to make us an S61N? Not hard to do as I provided Peter with the photos of the BO105 and I had someone else providing the manual for this helicopter. In the end, we get rewarded with a great helicopter properly done by the masters of flightsim helicopters 8)

  7. Hi,

First and foremost, welcome to the forums :D At this moment, the MI24 is not compatible with FSX...although it may run to a certain extent, some of the customised animations modeled in these helicopters may or may not function properly due to FSX having new coding built in. I'll let the Nemeths guys chime in on the subject.
