After all these months - nay, years - of running Uncle Elmer's errands, first around WA (Pleasant Valley, Hood, The Hideaway...) and then over to the "right hand side", our intrepid One-Eye is beginning to wonder if he'll actually get the loose change out of Elmer for that repaint he so desperately needs. Two years of running the blockade isn't doing our girl's makeup any good whatsoever. Candy Bombers was one thing, but flying the cheeses...
She's been working so hard, that even Limp hasn't had time to get the suds out. Best he can do is a wipe over with WD40 every now and then - to keep the surface smooth and shiny at least...
...and of course, if you wipes the WD40 off, the surface is so matt, she's almost as stealthy as a sparrow.
One-Eye is seriously considering having at least one of those boxes of buckshot "get organised" so that he can go have words with someone about the slooooowwww repairs to the home grounds!

I can hold a tune ever so well - as long as it's on a CD, a take or even an old gramophone thingy...
Yup - Python severely influenced my youthful development. Late sixties... My parents' generation was definitely not amused by such obscene rubbish - that was good enough for us; it just had to be good. It was.
And now the next generation likes stuff like the Simpsons and South Park and Family Guy... Jeez! Now that is obscene!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Yes... I've noticed that and had feedback on the subject too. I had to learn there as well.
Take a look in the sim objects / rotorcraft / ND_EC135 folder. You will see three model folders and three panel folders.
Take a look at the aircraft.cfg file. There are two entries to observe: "model=***" and "panel=***"
here:
[fltsim.xx]title=EC135 OK Air Ambulance - Czech Republic
sim=ec135
model=2
panel=2
sound=
texture=okdsa
kb_checklists=ndec135_check
kb_reference=
atc_id=OK-DSA
atc_airline="OK Air Ambulance"
ui_manufacturer="Eurocopter"
ui_type="EC135"
ui_variation="OK Air Ambulance"
ui_typerole="Rotorcraft"
ui_createdby="Nemeth Designs"
description=
For a MED helicopter model and panel need to be 2
For a VIP helicopter they need to be 1
...and for the passenger model just leave the line blank after the = symbol
Hope that resolves things

Er... whats "shaws"?

A cornered cheese is a scary beastie, and could go fondue in the heat of battle... :shock:
:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
That brought tears to my eyes... ouch! Sell that to Terry Pratchett. Oh - and to quote another source of entertainment from a few years back, I wonder what anyone makes of the phrase: "Number five is alive"?

I forgot to mention... with all Fritz's worries about getting repairs done to Emma (she must be an adult by now - the real Emma that is... and not yet in need of repair), our dear Uncle Elmer has taken a break and is investigating the dark incontinent. As you can see from the previous shots, he is definitely prepared for twouble.
So he's on Safawi wight now in a bowwowed plane.
(Darn speech impediment is catching!)

Having just re-read about the Emma Field Limburger (shouldn't that rather be "Lillawaup Blue"?) I am wondering if the local hazmat isn't related to "Horace"
Now I wonder how many will pick up on that? I know Horace - how many others do? There definitely seems to be something Horacey about the local blue...

My sincerest apologies to all who downloaded this paint from Avsim
:oops: :oops: :oops: :oops:
...and why on earth didn't someone send me an e-mail to tell me I'd goofed?
Don't, please don't ask how I snafu'd that and uploaded the red air ambulance tail section with the Czech paintscheme. (I probably had another 'senior' moment) I have now corrected the zip file contents and you can re-download this paint from Avsim in a few hours. Look for "okdsa_fixed.zip"
My apologies to all.

Thank the lord Harry, that I didn't have my first morning tea in hand yet. This morning's collection of Emma Antics had a high splurt factor indeed - definitely flooded keyboard stuff there this morning...

I think we finally have a solution to losing the previous "Winners' Galleries" during the last forum software update. So without further ado, here are the prizewinners for the August 2008 screenshot competition.
[edit]
If you read the stop press, you'll have seen that member Skidmark has kindly passed. His screenshot remains here in a place of honour - after all, his was the best. The worthy third place goes to member ematheson.

"buggerit" is what's uttered by Bob shortly before the barrels are raised because we didn't "buggerorf" :!:
Shouldn't that be "Buggrem, buggrit, millenium hand and shrimp!"?
...and do you check your e-mail Nick?
-
...and now can we get on with Emma please? :lol: :lol: :lol: If this is a dry run, we are going to be spoiled rotten. Even if it does run to a fifty dollar set, with this standard, Emma will be THE place to be!

Bill, thanks ever such a lot for your clarification about the soft top / hard top options.
There's my mistake - in fact you show the perfect model for my comments D-EINB. Here is a link to show why the Navion got my negative press:
http://www.airliners.net/photo/North-American-Navion/0654807/L/
I used a URL link rather than attaching the image here.
As you can see, the real D-EINB is "different enough" to have made me wonder.
-
Hmmm, if that is the one I saw some weeks back, I would suggest a look at airliners net first. The Navion I saw was modelled so far off the real thing, it didn't even deserve the "freeware" label.
I could be wrong, so I will check it out myself. It could just have been fixed...
-
"Interesting" if a little unorthodox at times.
Thanks
-
...and there's also "Walk and Follow" - but not really that good, despite payware.
But the cheapest of all is FS itself. Use the "change viewpoint" controls. Shift, Ctrl or shift + Ctrl plus enter or backspace.
Six simple combinations to move your eyepoint however you want.

Oh poot!
I wish I'd read your tips a few days ago, Pups, because I have just been for a job interview myself and I was at such a loss for some answers. Now, when I let my interview pass review, I realise I gave some pretty lame answers... :(
-
No worries
-
Thanks for supporting us, guys, hope you like the little plane!
Repaint....... where's CBris !!?? :D
Sorry, if it's not FSX, I don't buy.
If I don't buy, I don't paint.
Make a fully X compliant version and I will think about it. :wink:

I've just come back from a road trip to visit a small company to the west of the "Ring" - I drove past that place on the way back. I could have taken my car on the track for a drive, but I saw some of the fruitcakes lining up to show off, so I just drove to a useful viewpoint to watch. It's amazing what people do to their normal street cars once they pass the barrier. My car may have GT on the tail, but that means Gran Tourismo and not great twit...
...and the rules you have to mind! Even if it is a public road (with a "toll").
Anyway, having seen that course from a few vantage points, all I can say is: "That pilot is a nutter!!" :lol: :lol: :lol:
...maybe in a Piper Cub and above the tree line. Even if the Eagleskinner would have taken the bridges from underneath :lol: :mrgreen:

It is in VFR Germany West from Aerosoft. Well, sort of. There's the photo-tiles and there's the grandstands.
-
(off topic ......by the way I like the JAG Pitts (Christen Eagle) repaint you have done on NZFF - thought you had finished with FS9??)
Cheers
Paul
Hi Paul,
I have finished with 9... the original repaint is FSX and Charl re-saved it as DXT3 :wink: That's the beauty of the Eagle - you can take an X paint and make it a 9 one and vice versa - she flies equally well in whichever...
And in the end I sent him a DXT3 with a "better" alpha as well.
November One India

The plane is a Foundair BushHawk XP. Soon to be released over at Aerosoft. Octember ish. :wink: Check out progress in the Aerosoft "Previews" Forum .
The paint - 'November One India' won't be in the release pack, although I may release it to Avsim later under a different registration. As folks will tell you, there'e only one One-Eye :wink:
