    Hi all...sorry so late responding. RW yikes!

    Right, a fly-in is needed. From where and to where? How about from Plum (since that was the last time I flew with everyone) to a destination in the north that would provide horrible weather and good scenery :)

    PRESS RELEASE: AVSIM Hacked!!

    Tom Allensworth, CEO and Publisher of AVSIM, today issued the following announcement; “We regret to inform the flight simulation community that on Tuesday, May 12, AVSIM was hacked and effectively destroyed. The method of the hack makes recovery difficult, if not impossible, to recover from. Both servers, that is the library / email and web site / forum servers were attacked. AVSIM is totally offline at this time and we expect to be so for some time to come. We are not able to predict when we will be back online, if we can come back at all. We will post more news as we are able to in the coming days and weeks."

    I think we could do something good for the flightsim community if we forward this to all of our members. If everyone donates $10, that's $5000, which they can use to rebuild their site. Avsim is also looking for IT professionals to help them recover.

    Hi,

    Seems a little slow around here (?). My life has given me some time back and I've been flying more than I have in quite awhile. Recently I've discovered a great thing to put some spice into flying. It's called FSEconomy (http://www.fseconomy.com/). It makes flight assignments and pays based on the assignment. Some of you no doubt have heard of it (I'm slow. I wish there was a special group for me like there was in school :P ). While it's is no FSCargo, it will help until FSCargo is released.

    Ah heck, just close your eyes and pretend you're out flying with your EFC mates. :P

    On second thought, better not close your eyes.

    Contravention of Chicago Convention Annexe dah paragraph de dit dit three subsection two... eckcetra. I thought some of the rules and regs learning for the straight PPL was bad enough - the ATPL version must be horrendous! :shock:

    I'm going to have to file IFR... :?
