  1. Is this what the version is supposed to look like till it's registered? And I can't register it till I can but it correct? Sorry for the newbie type questions.
  2. Oh! Gosh Pete, thank you! I would never ever run both at the same time, no need for it, that thought hadn't even crossed my mind. I thought you meant I couldn't have two iterations of FUSIPC on one PC. Thanks goodness you clarified. As soon as I can and it's ready I'll be paying the fee, please let me know where and when. I really really really appreciate your help Pete! Thank you.
  3. Hi Pete and thanks for your patience with me, Im not as good at this as you or the others. So what should I do? Uninstall the one for 3.4? But I want to keep flying 3.4 till V4 is up to speed. And do I need it in V4 if I never use it for controls? I have it in 3.4 because isn't it required for certain things to work with the sim? Will it be that way in 4? Will some add-ons require FSUIPC? Now I don't know what to do if I can't have a separate FSUIPC for both sims on the same PC.
  4. Hi Pete, I have the registered version of FSUIPC for P3D 3.4. I just downloaded the latest version for it and the version for P3D V4. Should I run both? Or will they conflict with each other? Thanks.
  5. Thanks!
  6. Do I need to uninstall the older version of FSUIPC before I install the new one? Thanks.
  7. Hi Pete, not one problem with FSUIPC. Sorry mate, just a very curious type. I'm trying to learn but it's a slog. I really appreciate you explaining what those devices are, that helps a lot. Like I said, just curious.
  8. Thanks Pete, for you they may be self explanatory but I'm a pilot not a programmer. I like to look at these things every once in a while and when I see error I wonder if there's a problem. I have no idea what these dll files are, what they do, or even what a dll is. I did a search on my PC and found none of them. Why did they suddenly show up?
  9. Sorry about asking, and yes I like to look at my log. I highlighted them in black. Thank you. Can anyone tell me why I'm getting these error messages in the FSUIPC log?I have no idea what they mean.********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.955 (1st June 2016) by Pete Dowson *********Prepar3D.exe version = 3.2.3.16769Reading options from "G:\P3D\Modules\FSUIPC4.ini"Running inside Prepar3D v3 on Windows 7Module base=5D880000User Name="xxxxxx"User Addr="xxxxxx"FSUIPC4 Key is providedWIDEFS7 not user registered, or expired16 System time = 12/07/2016 13:07:4416 FLT path = "C:\Users\Jetline\Documents\Prepar3D v3 Files\"16 ------ Module Version Check ------16 acontain.dll: 3.2.3.1676916 api.dll: 3.2.3.1676916 controls.dll: 3.2.3.1676916 fs-traffic.dll: 3.2.3.1676916 G3D.dll: 3.2.3.1676916 language.dll: 3.2.3.1676916 sim1.dll: 3.2.3.1676916 visualfx.dll: 3.2.3.1676916 weather.dll: 3.2.3.1676916 window.dll: 3.2.3.1676916 ----------------------------------16 Trying G:\P3D\Modules\SimConnectP3D3.dll16 Found it: trying to connect16 FS path = "G:\P3D\"125 ---------------------- Joystick Device Scan -----------------------125 Product= Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals125 Manufacturer= Saitek125 Vendor=06A3, Product=0763 (Version 1.1)140 Serial Number= 140 Product= Pro Flight TPM System140 Manufacturer= Mad Catz140 Vendor=06A3, Product=0B4D (Version 1.98)140 Serial Number= G0007131140 Product= Saitek Pro Flight Yoke140 Manufacturer= Saitek140 Vendor=06A3, Product=0BAC (Version 3.4)140 Serial Number= 140 Product= Saitek Pro Flight Quadrant140 Manufacturer= Saitek140 Vendor=06A3, Product=0C2D (Version 2.0)156 Serial Number= 156 -------------------------------------------------------------------156 LogOptions=00000000 00000011156 -------------------------------------------------------------------156 ------ Setting the hooks and direct calls into the simulator ------156 --- CONTROLS timer memory location obtained ok156 --- SIM1 Frictions access gained156 --- FS Controls Table located ok156 --- Installed Mouse Macro hooks ok.156 --- Wind smoothing fix is installed156 --- All links okay (except older global weather setting method)156 -------------------------------------------------------------------156 SimConnect_Open succeeded: waiting to check version okay156 Trying to use SimConnect Prepar3D4727 Running in "Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v3", Version: 3.2.3.2 (SimConnect: 3.2.0.0)4727 Initialising SimConnect data requests now4727 FSUIPC Menu entry added4743 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=N, In Menu=Y, In Dlg=Y4743 C:\Users\Jetline\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Prepar3D_Default.fxml4743 G:\P3D\SimObjects\Airplanes\IRIS Raptor Driver\Raptor.air4899 Memory in use: 857Mb, Avail=3239Mb19391 G:\P3D\SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado Aero_Commander_500S\500S.air44632 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=N, In Menu=N, In Dlg=N45490 System time = 12/07/2016 13:08:29, Simulator time = 13:07:49 (18:07Z)45490 Aircraft="Carenado 500S Aero Commander N786E"46488 Starting everything now ...46488 Note: "G:\P3D\Modules\PFCFSX.DLL", Error 126 (The specified module could not be found. ) 46488 Note: "G:\P3D\Modules\EPICINFO5.DLL", Error 126 (The specified module could not be found. )46504 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=Y, In Menu=N, In Dlg=N46535 Run: "C:/Program Files (x86)/NaturalPoint/TrackIR5/TrackIR5.exe"46551 ASN active function link set46551 Ready for ASN WX radar46598 Deactivated for PID=3448, "TrackIR5.exe"46598 Lost focus to PID=3448, "TrackIR5.exe"47830 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled62744 Deactivated: culprit unknown62744 Focus lost: culprit unknown65193 Memory in use: 2093Mb, Avail=2003Mb80980 Weather Mode now = Theme125487 Memory in use: 2094Mb, Avail=2002Mb185688 Memory in use: 2178Mb, Avail=1918Mb245936 Memory in use: 2206Mb, Avail=1890Mb279944 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=Y, In Menu=Y, In Dlg=Y279944 Sim stopped: average frame rate for last 235 secs = 59.4 fps279944 Max AI traffic was 68 aircraft312517 === NOTE: not calling SimConnect_Close ...313515 System time = 12/07/2016 13:12:57, Simulator time = 13:11:43 (18:11Z)313515 *** FSUIPC log file being closedMinimum frame rate was 45.7 fps, Maximum was 64.8 fpsMinimum available memory recorded was 1887MbAverage frame rate for running time of 235 secs = 59.4 fpsMaximum AI traffic for session was 68 aircraftMemory managed: 106 Allocs, 106 Freed********* FSUIPC Log file closed ***********
  10. Thanks Pete, I'm so lost with this stuff, try as I might I just don't get it. I fly planes and fix them in real life, that's what I use the sim for too. I don't like to have to do all the tweaking and other stuff. I don't even know what Lua or WideClient is or what it does. But I can tell you how to fly or fix a real plane. Thanks for your help.
  11. Thanks guys, I panic easily, I suffer from severe panic attacks in real life. I'm sorry. When I saw that I assumed the worst. I only had it make a VAS log to see how much VAS I had left in the same flight with the same add-ons to compare between FSX and P3D. If one can even do that. I didn't vet OOM's in FSX too often but when I did I knew why, flying the Q400 from Seattle to Orbx's Friday Harbor for example. I liked to see how much I had left. This is why I went with P3D, I was under the impression it dumped VAS as it flew, I may be wrong. But as long as everything is fine I'm reassured . Thank you for explaining this to me Thomas. Pete, I'm still not sure exactly what has to be selected in FSUIPC for just VAS monitoring.
  12. I'm sorry Pete, I didn't mean to upset you. I was just wondering what this meant. I was wondering why my VAS was so low in P3D v 3.2 with such a short flight from EGLC to EGLL in the Comanche with ASN on, TRIR on, EZCA on. I apologize for making you angry. 74755 Deactivated for PID=2396, "explorer.exe" 74755 Lost focus to PID=2396, "explorer.exe" 79529 Deactivated for PID=2396, "explorer.exe" 79529 Lost focus to PID=2396, "explorer.exe" 114224 Deactivated: culprit unknown 114224 Focus lost: culprit unknown
  13. Brand new P3D v 3.2 install. Made a short flight from EGLC to EGLL, UT2 on with traffic commercial at 59 and general at 30 just like in FSX. I had ASN SP5 running in a thunderstorm, REX soft clouds only, Track IR, EZCA, A2A'sComanche. Also, what are all these Explorer errors, are they Windows Explorer errors? Can anyone explain to me what all this means? I'd be very grateful as I'm not good at it. ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.955 (1st June 2016) by Pete Dowson ********* Prepar3D.exe version = 3.2.3.16769 Reading options from "G:\P3D\Modules\FSUIPC4.ini" Running inside Prepar3D v3 on Windows 7 Module base=59B30000 User Name="Paul Higginbotham" User Addr="paulhiggvette@att.net" FSUIPC4 Key is provided WIDEFS7 not user registered, or expired 15 System time = 13/06/2016 15:23:10 15 FLT path = "C:\Users\Jetline\Documents\Prepar3D v3 Files\" 15 ------ Module Version Check ------ 15 acontain.dll: 3.2.3.16769 15 api.dll: 3.2.3.16769 15 controls.dll: 3.2.3.16769 15 fs-traffic.dll: 3.2.3.16769 15 G3D.dll: 3.2.3.16769 15 language.dll: 3.2.3.16769 15 sim1.dll: 3.2.3.16769 15 visualfx.dll: 3.2.3.16769 15 weather.dll: 3.2.3.16769 15 window.dll: 3.2.3.16769 15 ---------------------------------- 15 Trying G:\P3D\Modules\SimConnectP3D3.dll 15 Found it: trying to connect 15 FS path = "G:\P3D\" 124 ---------------------- Joystick Device Scan ----------------------- 124 Product= Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals 124 Manufacturer= Saitek 124 Vendor=06A3, Product=0763 (Version 1.1) 124 Serial Number= 124 Product= Pro Flight TPM System 124 Manufacturer= Mad Catz 124 Vendor=06A3, Product=0B4D (Version 1.98) 140 Serial Number= G0007131 140 Product= Saitek Pro Flight Yoke 140 Manufacturer= Saitek 140 Vendor=06A3, Product=0BAC (Version 3.4) 140 Serial Number= 140 ------------------------------------------------------------------- 140 LogOptions=00000000 00000011 140 ------------------------------------------------------------------- 140 ------ Setting the hooks and direct calls into the simulator ------ 140 --- CONTROLS timer memory location obtained ok 140 --- SIM1 Frictions access gained 140 --- FS Controls Table located ok 140 --- Installed Mouse Macro hooks ok. 140 --- Wind smoothing fix is installed 140 --- All links okay (except older global weather setting method) 140 ------------------------------------------------------------------- 140 SimConnect_Open succeeded: waiting to check version okay 140 Trying to use SimConnect Prepar3D 5038 Running in "Lockheed MartinÆ Prepar3DÆ v3", Version: 3.2.3.2 (SimConnect: 3.2.0.0) 5038 Initialising SimConnect data requests now 5038 FSUIPC Menu entry added 5054 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=N, In Menu=Y, In Dlg=Y 5054 C:\Users\Jetline\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Prepar3D_Default.fxml 5054 G:\P3D\SimObjects\Airplanes\IRIS Raptor Driver\Raptor.air 5148 Deactivated for PID=3920, "EZCA.exe" 5163 Memory in use: 802Mb, Avail=3294Mb 24258 G:\P3D\SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_Piper_PA24_250_Comanche\PA24_250.air 61370 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=N, In Menu=N, In Dlg=N 61651 System time = 13/06/2016 15:24:12, Simulator time = 15:23:16 (15:23Z) 61651 Aircraft="Piper Piper PA-24 Comanche (A2A)" 65380 Memory in use: 2438Mb, Avail=1658Mb 66971 Starting everything now ... 66971 Note: "G:\P3D\Modules\PFCFSX.DLL", Error 126 (The specified module could not be found. ) 66971 Note: "G:\P3D\Modules\EPICINFO5.DLL", Error 126 (The specified module could not be found. ) 66971 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=Y, In Menu=N, In Dlg=N 67080 ASN active function link set 67080 Ready for ASN WX radar 70481 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 74755 Deactivated for PID=2396, "explorer.exe" 74755 Lost focus to PID=2396, "explorer.exe" 79529 Deactivated for PID=2396, "explorer.exe" 79529 Lost focus to PID=2396, "explorer.exe" 114224 Deactivated: culprit unknown 114224 Focus lost: culprit unknown 125549 Memory in use: 2711Mb, Avail=1385Mb 144675 Deactivated for PID=2396, "explorer.exe" 144675 Lost focus to PID=2396, "explorer.exe" 185812 Memory in use: 2762Mb, Avail=1334Mb 201912 Deactivated: culprit unknown 201912 Focus lost: culprit unknown 223705 Weather Mode now = Theme 246044 Memory in use: 2842Mb, Avail=1254Mb 306261 Memory in use: 2856Mb, Avail=1240Mb 366430 Memory in use: 2968Mb, Avail=1128Mb 426616 Memory in use: 2995Mb, Avail=1101Mb 486832 Memory in use: 2994Mb, Avail=1102Mb 546970 Memory in use: 3001Mb, Avail=1095Mb 607249 Memory in use: 3020Mb, Avail=1075Mb 667465 Memory in use: 3071Mb, Avail=1025Mb 727666 Memory in use: 3076Mb, Avail=1020Mb 787820 Memory in use: 3097Mb, Avail=999Mb 848037 Memory in use: 3105Mb, Avail=991Mb 908269 Memory in use: 3105Mb, Avail=991Mb 947659 Ready Flags: Ready-To-Fly=Y, In Menu=Y, In Dlg=Y 947659 Sim stopped: average frame rate for last 886 secs = 35.7 fps 947659 Max AI traffic was 93 aircraft 953228 Deactivated: culprit unknown 953228 Lost focus to PID=4876, "ASNext.exe" 967175 === NOTE: not calling SimConnect_Close ... 968173 System time = 13/06/2016 15:39:19, Simulator time = 15:38:00 (15:38Z) 968173 *** FSUIPC log file being closed Minimum frame rate was 25.0 fps, Maximum was 60.4 fps Minimum available memory recorded was 955Mb Average frame rate for running time of 886 secs = 35.7 fps Maximum AI traffic for session was 93 aircraft Memory managed: 361 Allocs, 361 Freed ********* FSUIPC Log file closed ***********
  14. But that's just it Pete, I did not have "Extras" ticked when I did this. I had the offset codes only and it showed VAS usage.
  15. Hi Pete, thanks for helping me. That's odd because in P3D v 3.2 when I put in the offset codes it started showing me my VAS in the log similar to the above: 725234 Memory in use: 1933Mb, Avail=2163Mb 785453 Memory in use: 1933Mb, Avail=2163Mb 845656 Memory in use: 1929Mb, Avail=2167Mb Yes, registered, I have the registered version for FSX & P3D v 3.2.
  16. I discovered what it was Thomas. I did not have 024C and S32 in the boxes. It works perfectly now, I have a running VAS log. Thank you for your help, I very much appreciate it. Best regards, Paul
  17. Ok, I had Log Extras unticked so I ticked it and made a test flight. It gave me no VAS log like you show above and what I'm used to in FSX. But it did, at the end of the log file tell me "Minimum available memory recorded was 2460 mb". But still no VAS list like above.
  18. Hi Thomas, I'm going to boot up P3D now and check that box to make sure it's ticked and then do a quick test flight and I'll get back to you. I changed my settings on this forum to give me notifications but still none so I'll just have to remember to come back here. Thanks you for you help, Paul
  19. Thank tou Thomas, first though I wonder why your reply didn't generate an email to me as other forums do? Ok, I will have a look for that setting, mayhap I missed it. So you're saying it's a different box I have to tick in P3D than the one in FSX? Thank you very much for your reply, I appreciate it.
  20. I just yesterday installed P3D v 3.2 and the latest registered version of FSUIPC. I have the full version installed in FSX and have the box ticked to create a log in the modules folder which I like to check after every flight to monitor VAS. But it doesn't seem to work that way in P3D. It'll create a log but doesn't show VAS, am I doing something incorrectly? Thanks.
  21. Ok, will do. I have real world stuff to do now so it might be later today. But I will let you know my results as soon as I get them. Thanks.
  22. Ok, here's my entire list of commands as it stands now. I have noticed yesterday when setting button assignments in FSUIPC WITH Controller DISabled in FSX's settings I can still use the keyboard commands for things that are assigned in FSX's button commands. 23. One more thing. I have read that it's a different setup required to get the PMDG working, is this correct? I can post what I have set up now with the SST software so ou can see what I need...
  24. Al, this is what has been driving me insane. {6E68D0C0-70D7-11E4-.......} THIS! How did you learn this? How am I supposed to learn this? These numbers are complete and total out and out gibberish to me which frustrates me to no end. I can't even begin to understand what I'm doing when I see stuff like this. It's like reading ancient Mesopotamian writing. There's absolutely no reference anywhere I have googled that describes how to interpret this. I finally figured out a way to get it off the trusted installer and to administrator, I just did that one file per that site you sent me. And FSUIPC was up and running because I had the plane sitting there and tested each button press while watching the flaps move for example. So I know it was working. I'll have to reinstall the newer version, register it, NOT set it to keep the clock synched per Pete's above post and attempt it yet again but I have to tell you, I'm frustrated by a lack of knowledge. So many people tell me to just read the advanced manual yet when I do all I see are endless codes and nothing to explain them to me in layman's terms. I WISH someone would actually write a book or good article from a BEGINNER's standpoint. Sorry, just very frustrated at my inabiity to grasp it all. I simply don't have the body of knowledge you and others have..
  25. Hi Al, thanks again for your explanation. That's just it, I spent the entire day yesterday with the manual in front of the computer going through it. I had a window open so I could look at what FSUIPC was doing with the ini file. I saw it would add some lines to it as I programmed a button. But something odd kept happening. As I was reading, with FSX open and my plane on he runway, I kept seeing an occasional flash of whit on my screen. So I stopped reading and watched it. What was happening was a white box would pop up with the word "Loading" in it for just a second and then go away. This would happen every five minutes or so. It never happened with the older freeware version of FSUIPC. Also, try as I might I followed that tutorial about Trusted Installer and couldn't give it Administer rights. Here's the text of my last attempt at FSUIPC though, I saved it on a thumb drive.
