After checking through my other sceneries and failing to find any conflicts, I ran the repair option in Vancouver+'s installer and after that the problem was gone. I guess one or more of Vancouver+'s files must have got corrupted. At any rate the problem seems to be fixed since I ran the repair option. Sorry for bothering you about it.
Now I can get back to flying. :D

Hi,
First of all, I'd like to thank you once again for the wonderful Vancouver scenery.
I'm having a CTD problem that happens just north of Victoria Intl. near Saturna, that did not start until spring (so I think the problem is season related.) Besides Vancouver+, I have Victoria+, CVYJ, Qualicum Beach (CAT4) and Birds Eye View V5 (Spring) installed. Except for BEV, I have disabled each of these sceneries one by one in a process of elimination while trying to find the cause of the CTD. I left Vancouver+ for last as I was hoping it wasn't that one as it's the best scenery of the lot. Sadly it has turned out to be Vancouver + as the problem goes away with this disabled and everything else enabled.
I've run scans for duplicate afcads as well as scans for currupt textures and neither turned up anything so I am a little at loss at what might be wrong.
By the way other scenery I have installed, are both UTs for North America, FSGenesis 38m mesh for all of wester NA, all of Holger's SE Alaska sceneries and Richard's two Alaska Cinematics.
I purchased Vancouver+ last summer, so this is my first time of using it set to Spring. I have not had the problem occur during the other seasons. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Thanks, Andy, that will save me some work. :D

Has anyone made any cargo area files for the Georender Alaska Cinematic series? I just purchased these sceneries and before I make my own, I thought I'd check and see if anyone had already done some. Thanks.

Just thought I'd pop in and share a few pictures of a lovely bush flight from Qualicum Beach to Vancouver Harbor. I was just ferrying some passengers over to the mainland this evening and got some very nice scenes.

Hi, I just bought Vancouver+ (FS9 version) this evening and had a couple of flights around the area and I’m very impressed and happy with this addon. I wanted to drop by and say a big ‘thank you’ to Jon, Holger, Francios and everyone else involved in bringing out the beautiful piece of work. :)

Thanks for your interest!
Vancouver+ Part 2, CYVR, will only be available for FSX.
You may want to consider Vancouver+ for FSX, as the bush flying experience is pretty cool...and of course Holger and his team will be coming up with Tongass and Misty for FSX before too long ....
Jon
Thanks for the response. I'm sorry to hear that. Though enthusiastic at first the more I use FSX, the more I’ve come to have serious misgivings about addons as complex as these slowing FSX down to much on my Pentium 4 3.06ghz machine. I’m certainly interested in the FSX versions, I’m just concerned I’ll be spending money on something that’ll run to slow to use. At any rate, I'll still be looking forward to when I get Vancouver+ for FS9.

I recently made the move to broadband, and having MF,TF &GBv2, I am planning to buy Vancouver+ for FS9 when I am able to put some money towards it. I wanted to ask if Vancouver+ 2 will still be released for FS9? I enjoy FSX on ocassion, but FS9 is still my sim of choice for bush flying.

Thanks, Brad for the FedEx sceneries and the C206 liveries, I just downloaded them. It'll be fun doing some bush flying in the Fjords and the Bay areas for FedEx. :D
Also thanks, Ed, for posting that wonderfully done Beaver livery.

While I’m not ready at this time to make FSX my main bush flying sim, I must say that scenery looks beautiful. :)

Kevin,
Sorry about the lack of response from us.
I had the same problems at SC and I was one of the designers. :( There were some texture changes made that seemed to help some people but not me. Since that time, I have a new PC and do not have FS9 installed anymore (I run FSX) and do not have any of the old files available. I can't be of much help.
Maybe someone else will jump in to help you.
Thanks for the response. Sorry about being late getting back to this post myself, the router I was using to connect to the internet died last week and I only just managed to get to town to get a new one today. I have FSX installed as well and enjoy flying it, but FS9 is still my personal choice for bush flying.
SC is a beautiful piece of scenery so I'll continue to keep it on my hard drive in case a fix shows up.

Hello,
I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this problem and might know of a fix. I tried to contact the designers, but their email seems to be dead. I have determined that though the problem is caused by Shit Creek, it is actually something that it loads from my EZ scenery library as when I disable the EZ library the problem goes away. I suspect that it is either a corrupt texture or a texture missing it’s mip data. The problem is that I haven’t been able to isolate the texture though I spent several hours trying to find it (I have over 3,000 textures in my EZ scenery library texture folder.) I was hoping that the fix for the similar problem in the SIRP scenery might fix this as well, but no such luck. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
Here is a picture of the problem.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for Tongas Fjords to Holger and team. This is a wonderful package, especially for a virtual bush pilot like myself. It is also the best representation of Alaska I have seen in a simulator. It is so close to the real thing that I have been able to use real photographs from the area and re-create them in FS9!
Here are a few photos of my last flight in the area. I had just delivered some cargo for my virtual business in Cargo Pilot from my base at A29 to PAGS. This is from the return flight. The first several pictures are from the original Glacier Bay scenery (plus an addon for PAGS) and the rest or of TF.
As you can see, I'm having lots of fun with TF. :D

I think I just fixed the problem. Something Holger wrote in another post gave me the idea to look at the Scenery\Namw\Scenery and I discovered that for some reason the stream files here where not renamed. I tried running the misty.bat file, but it wasn't doing anything, so I opened it up to see what files needed to be renamed and did it by hand. The streams are gone from the areas I checked in. Sorry about that, should have read some of the other posts before I posted.

I have Misty Fjords, UT Canada/Alaska 1.2 and UT U.S.A 1.21 installed. I also have the patch for MF and UT installed. For the most part everything looks fine, but wile flying over MF, I have noticed two sets of streams. On set, fits in and looks right, so I believe this is the MF streams, but the other set runs over hills and looks like the default stream textures. I am assuming that these are from UT and for some reason the patch didn’t remove the streams from UT. Any idea what might be wrong? Here’s a picture. Thanks.

Thank you for the explanation. I copied it to a text file so that I can review it again when I do add some meshes. I'm pretty new to UT, though I've had Misty Fjords for a while now. I have everything working pretty good right now and didn't want to mess anything up if I got a new mesh. Thanks again. :)

Hi,
Sometime I would like to get the FSGenesis mesh for BC, but I also know this mesh will cover the area that Misty Fjords is in. From what I read, I gathered that this mesh should be placed above Misty Fjords and also Tongass Fjords (wich I'm hoping to get very soon). I also have UT Alaska/Canada placed below Misty Fjords, so my question is, if the FSGeneis mesh is placed above Misty Fjords, will I lose the UT data for BC? Thanks.

Hi,
I just wanted to ask if Orcas Island is UT compatable?
Thanks.

I'd been really looking forward to this package as I have Misty Fjords and love it.
After saving up, (due to severe hearing loss, I don't have steady work) I went on to SimMarket to order Tongass Fjords using their CD option that Francois had mentioned that they offer. I live in the country where broadband is not available.
I figured that it would be an extra few USD to burn the disc and mail it, but I was not prepared for the whopping 20USD they were asking for this service. Unfortunately this drove the price out of what I can afford to put into this product.
I hope that you will consider finding a box publisher. I'd love to use Tongass Fjords, but until then, I've still got Misty Fjords.
Thanks.

I have two versions of PAKT from Alan Wright. Get this one>>
PAKTV2.zip.
ket2.bgl
ket2.xcl
ket2_exclude.bgl
ket.bgl
ket.xcl
ket_exclude.bgl
The PAKT_01.zip had only one bgl, and no excludes that I see.
Get version2 PAKTV2.zip
Thanks, I'll go hunt it down. I got mine off the the Misty Moorings site and until you mentioned the excludes. I hadn't realized there was more than one version.

Thanks for the quick reply, Holger. Before installing UT Alaska/Canada and UT USA, I had a bunch of freeware coastline addons that I had to remove using their scores of file switching batch files. It's possible that I messed something up by running a batch out of order. Since it has been a year (give or take a month) since I last did a fresh install of FS9, I decided that this might be a good time to do so. I just finished and I no longer see this coastline problem near Ketchikan, so I think the problem is resolved. :)
Though none of the freeware coastline addons addressed Alaska, they must have messed something up that did, but with UT installed now, I won't be using these freeware coastline addons any more, so hopefully this problem won't come up again.

Hi,
I'm having a few error problems after installing UT and the UT patch for MF. South of Ketchikan, I am now getting this bar across the bay as well as several more right angle ones of the tip of the western coast in the upper right of the picture.
I have followed the instructions carefully but still can't seem to locate the problem. Here is a picture of my scenery library where MF is in case it would help in determining the problem.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
-
Thanks for the suggestion. The default scenery didn't used to be there. I followed your suggestion and redownloaded the file and reinstalled. Still the same thing. I could find nothing the indicated an exclued by it's name. Here are the four BGLs that are in the scenery directory;
aero.bgl
hanger2.BGL
hanger3.BGL
ket.blg
Could you check yours and see if it's that same? Thanks.

Recently I have been having a small scenery problem. It is not one that hinders my flying, but it is kind of annoying and I thought maybe someone around here might have an idea what is causing the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The problem started after I got and installed UT Canada/Alaska and the Misty Fjords UT compatibility update. So far everything seems to run fine except for this one problem. I also use Alan Wright's Ketchikan Intl. scenery and for some reason after installing UT (and making sure that it was below MF) and installing the Misty Fjords UT update, I now see default scenery buildings at PAKT as well as the new ones. See the picture below.
I've been trying to fix it, but nothing I have tried has helped. I'm wondering if UT or the Misty Fjords update has put a new PAKT bgl in that I'm missing. I could use any ideas you might have or a point in the right direction. Thank you.

I recently found I was also having this problem even though I have the 9.1 update installed.
After some trouble shooting, I discovered that the file causing the problem for me was actually a Freight Dogs scenery file. The file is "cbm51_VTPH.BGL" in the
"....\Flight Simulator 9\Aerosoft\Freight Dogs\FreightDogs airports\scenery" folder. I just renamed the file to "cbm51_VTPH.xxx" and I no longer have crashes when flying near or starting at CBM5.
Just thought I'd post this here in case anyone else has the problem. For anyone who does, I recommend trying the work-around that I used above.
