  1. Hi,

    I have noticed that my GPU is running at 99% as soon as the tower3d.exe starts. It does not matter if I'm on the airport selection page, or if I'm working an airport with settings set to fastest or fantastic. I only started to investigate it after my monitoring software started to report high GPU temperature.

    I think that's a bit to high for this game, could it possibly be looked at?

    Computer spec:
    Intel Core i7-6700k
    RAM 32Gig
    Nvidia Geforce GTX 970
    Win10 64Bit Enterprise
    Nvidia driver version: 368.22

     

    Ps. don't think I have said it before, but I do like the game ;-)

    Just some thoughts now that we are at it.

    1) A bit more zoom would be nice on the larger airports.

    2)  Could we have an option to make the movable windows darker (less transparent), it can be really hard to see the plane's designations if there is a white background (ground radar is giving me issues.

    3) Would it be possible to add another zoom level to the ground radar, some times there are 3 planes parked right beside each other, and it can be a bit hard to differentiate them.

    I was playing Phili airport and I had MAX737 land on 9R. When I tried to make it taxi to terminal via P T J it did not move, and I were unable to get it to move at all. I tried to give it different commands like just "taxi to terminal", "continue Taxi" etc, but nothing would make it move. I checked the log file, and found quite a few stack traces in the file.

    There seems to be a bug with the forum ... It says I'm allowed to upload 4.88MB, and when I tried to attach the game.log (6.654 KB) or the zipped game.zip (91KB), I was told it was to large ?

    So I have put the game log on my web server, and it can download from here

    I know I'm not Feelthere, but I noticed a comment in another thread regarding information on schedules etc.

    They are currently talking about the changes for SP1, which could change how it is working, and they want to wait until they know if the changes for SP1 influences the way scheduling works.

    Sorry I don't have time to search for the post right now, but it's here some where.

    I have purchased from Steam, and I have not had any issues on the 2 machines I tested it with.

    Both were Win10 64Bit.

    There are other cases on the forum where it stops loading after 30%, please search the forum to see if they have a solution you can use.

    ps. You need to edit your subject, it must have the product name in the subject line and what it's about (add Tower!3D) ;-)

    Vic mentioned they would come out with more information regarding that soon. I guess they just need to address the initial feedback from the users first.

    I'm also waiting on more info on that, but I guess it should come fairly soon.

  7. Hi vic,

    I was playing on KLAX, having set runway 24R and 25L as active, and using 24L and 25R for takeoff.

    I noticed that when I have a plane moving on both 24L and 25R, one might be taking off while the other is doing a line up and wait, I get a runway alert.

    In particular in this file it's the following flights that I managed to intentionally re-create the issue with: DEN557, VAL2887, and VAL770

    Let me know if you need any thing else.

     

    Ps. Installed via Steam, on 2 machines without issues, and I were able to play the game on both ... the obsolete Laptop did lag a bit when clicking the command menu ;-)

    I have not purchased the game yet (got 8 hours of work ahead of me), but I wanted to give my 2 cents on some of the items brought up.

    1. Multi-monitor support is a must for me personally, as I'm currently playing Tower!2011 and Tracon!2012 with radars and strips spread around my 3 monitors

    2. Slider support to control the amount of planes arriving or departing (nice to have for me).

    Well I'm off for work :-(

  9. Nice ... been waiting for this ;-)

     

    One question do come to mind. With the initial version not containing voice. Will it be possible to upgrade from the "basic" release to the pro version later and just pay the price difference? If so I'm ready to buy the "basic" version right now, and upgrade later. Otherwise I'm also going to wait for the pro version, as voice is a huge factor for me.

     

    Ps. Planning to use Steam.

    I don't read this forum that often, but what worked for me was...

     

    I had lag (GFX lag), and the initial load of the airport was slow. What I did was to go into the \Tower! 2011\Airfields\ and renamed the files named AIRPORT_NAME_shadow.raw, so some thing else, and then started Tower, and it loads in about 10-15 seconds and I do not have any in game GFX lag.

     

    I had hoped to find a better solution, but gave up.

    Nvidia GeForce GTX 670

    12Gb Memory

    Game is on an SSD disk
