  1. Understood, but, I mean... Runways are like, the most important thing in aviation besides airfoils. Oh well, no matter. I think I'm done.
  2. Since nobody's reading this anyway, after struggling for hours last night trying to get my new sector going, I really have to say this: The fact that the editor still crashes to desktop when you try to save runways (and that I had to hunt around on dead forums to find this out), after four years, and that "use the same editor the dev team did!" is still part of the advertising, is really kind of shameful. I mean, I was going to have to get into the XML and do a lot of it manually anyway, but for those who might just have wanted to even tweak some of the existing sectors, not being able to save RUNWAYS? In an AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL simulator? It's astonishing, kind of. Oh well. Such is what I've come to expect being a fan of this genre.
  3. That'd be great, I'll cross my fingers, and offer my services as an annoying, nit-picky beta tester...
  4. After complaining the SIDs weren't working, and then digging into the editor to try to fix them, I realized a lot of the published altitudes WERE in the database, but in the AlS/AlE fields, not the Alt field. The issue is, the simulator appears to completely ignore the AlE/AlS values, and will always fly to the Alt specified in the leg. Since "Alt" was always (or almost always) 5000, "climbing" aircraft will always stick at 5000, regardless of the other values. So the question is, is this just a bug, or is there some special way of altering the three values to get them to work as expected/described in the manual? (And once I complete fixing all of them to use Alt, does anyone/FeelThere want the fruit of my labors?? :) )
  5. Huh, I opened it in an editor, and I do see most waypoints assigned to 5000, so I think they just need to be updated. On my way to pilot supply for approach plates, I'll punch 'em in myself! Has anyone else done that, though? Are there, for instance, updated sector files for the latest SID/STARS?
  6. More info: Departures always climb to 5000, and never go any higher.
  7. Understood, but it doesn't seem to work, at least in KLAS.
  8. ...but the aircraft never climb or descend to the published altitudes. Is that a bug or intentional?
  9. Terrain. I just noticed there ain't any.
  10. Sorry if this is documented, I couldn't find it.
  11. I did find out you have to say "knots" at the end, but even with that, they often refuse. No biggie, like you said. (However, I listen to KLAS on an almost nightly basis, and speed commands are given on a regular, almost continual, basis.)
  12. Agreed, and as far as I can tell, Tracon 2012 is the very best ATC simulator there is, it just feels a little rough around the edges, and this is another rough edge. I'd be interested in getting them smoothed out, if development is ongoing. :)
  13. My approach guys are continually telling me "negative" even for reasonable requests like "reduce speed to 250 knots". Any idea why?
  14. Is there any way to patch this myself? It's a minor issue, but it's annoying. Thanks!
  15. Is this because it's showing stats for all ATCSuite products, and takeoffs/landings only apply to Tower?
  16. Score keeps going up, but when I check information on my profile, takeoffs and landings are always zero. Which is wrong, cuz I seen 'em land happily and contact center happily. :) Any idea why? Thanks.
  17. Anyone else encounter an issue where hitting push-to-talk causes Tracon 2012 to crash about half the time? Kinda makes it hard to get into, hoping someone has a fix. Thanks!
  18. Does the text-to-speech really say "out of three thousands, climbing to ten thousands"? Plural? It's comedic, but a little immersion-breaking, if you know what I mean?
