Hi all, after i installed the freeware Norway Airports i fly to Norway. Two times, about 50 NM south of the border FS crashed. I fly the two times to different airports. After the crashed, i thought that perhaps the scenery has a mistake. After trying and trying i notice, that every time when AITrafficLook from FSUIPC is active and minimized, FS crashed. Without active it, i have no problem. For now, i am not 100% shure, if its because of AITrafficLook, but i think yes. The first time i use AITrafficLook and have it active all the flight, was the flight that i make to Norway.

I write this to keep it in mind, perhaps its a problem, perhaps am i wrong.

Cheers, Andy

By "AITrafficLook" do you mean the little example program called TrafficLook that i supply in the FSUIPC ZIP? If not, I'm afraid I do not know the program.

However, maximising, minimising or re-shaping TrafficLook's windows, or indeed and FSUIPC application's windows, cannot actually crash FS. These programs are entirely separate processes.

What is more likely happening is your swapping in and out of FS and its window being minimised and restored or its video mode changing from full screen to windowed or minimised or vice versa? There are some problems known and reported with FS changing video modes.

Perhaps you could clarify (a) what program(s) you are talking about, and (b) exactly what is happening to FS windows and so on at the time.

Hi Pete,

with TrafficLook i mean the small programm that is supply in fsuipc.

I minimised and restored the window from Traffic Look many times and also the FS window. Perhaps that was the problem. Well now, i dont have any problems more, even when i minimised and restored the FS window many times.

Many folks have reported problems with minimising FS2004 and trying to re-maximise it. I think most of them got cleared up with video driver updates and similar, but I must confess that I still find FS2004 very precarious compared to previous releases. It seems very sensitive to a number of things.

Well now, i dont have any problems more, even when i minimised and restored the FS window many times.

Ah. that's good to hear!

Regards,

Pete
