fripz Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 Hi @ all I just wonder if i've done something wrong in the installation of FCUIPC. I've installed the FCUIPC program and copied the dll file to the "Modules" folder, and the i installed the pmTCAS program,is there some setting in the ini file i need to do. I'm running all the programs on one computer right now just for testing, before i start to build my simulator I would just want to try the software before i buy it. I found the key: pmTCAS KEY= J2LQ XOMT 450K But when i enter the key pmTCAS says that One or more programs is not accredited for access to an unregisterd copy of FCUIPC". I hope this is the right forum to ask this question, I'm a newbee to all these extra programs for flight sim, but i've been flying MS flight sim for almost 12 years now (i started with a nice Amstrad 8086 computer with a monocrome screen and just the keyboard to fly with.) Hope you can help me Best regards Fredrik Nordanmyr Sweden
Pete Dowson Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 i installed the pmTCAS program,is there some setting in the ini file i need to do. That program is not mine, you'll need to ask at PM support about its INI files. I would just want to try the software before i buy it. I found the key:pmTCAS KEY= J2LQ XOMT 450K But when i enter the key pmTCAS says that One or more programs is not accredited for access to an unregisterd copy of FCUIPC". It is FSUIPC which reports this error. Check the FSUIPC.LOG for more details - you'll find it in same Modules folder as FSUIPC.DLL. Also, look in the file, in the same folder, called FSUIPC.KEY. Is there a line there saying pmtcas=J2LQXOMT450K? That's where FSUIPC stores any program keys you enter manually. If not, or if it is incorrect, you are not entering the key correctly in the Program registration dialogue. Regards, Pete
fripz Posted January 17, 2004 Author Report Posted January 17, 2004 Hi Pete. Thanks for the fast reply. My FCUIPC.key looks like this: [Programs] pmTCAS=J2LQXOMT450K And my FCUIPC.log looks like this: ********* FSUIPC, Version 3.135 by Pete Dowson ********* User Name="" User Addr="" FSUIPC not user registered WIDEFS not user registered, or expired Module base=61000000 ClassOptions: UIPCMAIN=FF7F, FS98MAIN=FF7F, FS2KMAIN=FF5E WeatherOptions(Orig)=0000B027[0000B027] InitDelay: 0 seconds WeatherReadInterval=4 DebugStatus=0 4286 System time = 12:47:09 4286 E:\Program\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\ 4296 System time = 12:47:09, FS2004 time = 12:00:00 (00:00Z) 5668 FLIGHTS\OTHER\FLTSIM.flt 5708 AIRCRAFT\c172\Cessna172SP.air 15402 AIRCRAFT\b737_400\Boeing737-400.air 21741 AIRCRAFT\b777_300\Boeing777-300.air 32667 C:\Documents and Settings\Fredrik Nordanmyr\Mina dokument\Flight Simulator Files\UI generated flight.flt 33809 Clear All Weather requested: external weather discarded 35942 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 55159 Traffic File #14 = "scenery\world\scenery\traffic030528" 66976 Client Application: "pmTCAS" (Id=2920) 66976 E:\Program\Microsoft Games\pmTCAS\pmTCAS.exe 66976 Product="Boeing-Type Glass Cockpit" 66976 Company="Enrico Schiratti" 66976 Illegal read attempt: offset 0020, size 4 66976Program not accredited for use with this unregistered FSUIPC 98001 ### IPC Message processed in 31025mSecs ### I hope this helps. // Fredrik
Pete Dowson Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 66976 Client Application: "pmTCAS" (Id=2920) 66976 E:\Program\Microsoft Games\pmTCAS\pmTCAS.exe 66976 Product="Boeing-Type Glass Cockpit" 66976 Company="Enrico Schiratti" There's the reason for the problem -- the Key was generated for a version of the program which had Product name "pmTCAS". The one you are using has "Boeing-Type Glass Cockpit" there instead. I generated the keys at Enrico Schiratti's request, using the information he provided. Evidently the version of the program is either older than the one he intended to be used, in which case please see if you can locate a more up to date one, or it is more recent and he forgot to request a new Key. Let me know and I'll see what I can do. Regards, Pete
fripz Posted January 17, 2004 Author Report Posted January 17, 2004 The pmTCAS i use was downloaded yesterday with version number 1.00.0396. And the key i found was on their maillinglist support.magenta and was dated 30 oct. 2003 and was posted by Enrico Schiratti's. I've searched the lists but din't come up with anything else but the key i tried to use. If you could help me i would be more than happy to buy your software (but i must convince my wife first ) // Fredrik
Pete Dowson Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 The pmTCAS i use was downloaded yesterday with version number 1.00.0396. Yes, I just went there and checked it. And the key i found was on their maillinglist support.magenta and was dated 30 oct. 2003 and was posted by Enrico Schiratti's. I don't know what Enrico was thinking here -- that Key definitely doesn't fit that program. It only fits the details he provided me. Oh, well, I've sent him a message to ask him to sort it out, but meanwhile, try this Key which should work with the details you've supplied: 9K03 WBCO 30JG As usual take care with the 0's (zeroes) and O's (letter Ohs). I'll add this to the Freeware list in this Forum. Regards, Pete
fripz Posted January 17, 2004 Author Report Posted January 17, 2004 Works great !! Now i will test this some more and then it's shopping time. Thanks Pete // Fredrik
