johanc Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 Hi Pete, I'm Johan Caljé from The Netherlands 2000 Design team. We are using an older version of FSUIPC.DLL for our (internal use only) development tools, but want to change to the newer version. Also, maybe in the future we want to use FSUIPC for the scenery itself. Is it possible that we get a freeware key? Regards, Johan Caljé NL2000 Coordinator http://www.nl-2000.com
johanc Posted April 20, 2004 Author Report Posted April 20, 2004 Hmmm, this topic was placed under the wrong thread by accident. Sorry about that. Johan Caljé
Pete Dowson Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 Is it possible that we get a freeware key? For freeware it is always possible, even more so  by requests from the authors themselves. I need some information about the program (DLL or GAU or EXE) which is accessing FSUIPC -- see inside the FSUIPC SDK. There is a document about Access Registration. Check section 4 onwards. Send the inforamtion it describes to me at petedowson@btconnect.com and I will return a Key. You can then build this into your program. Access to FSUIPC from scenery BGLs isn't actually possible as far as I'm aware (never has been?) -- but there are some of the original scenery variables still made accessible vis offsets (these are documented in the SDK). They are generally used for two-way communication between program and scenery. Regards, Pete
