DavidH Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 There have been comments from several users of Flight 1's 'Ultimate Traffic' that a function called 'Palmspotter', which hasn't been working properly, is now happily working as it should after FSUIPC v3.30 is installed. No-one seems to know why this has happened, but it does appear to have solved a problem which has been worrying the Flight 1 developers for some time. So thank you, Pete Dowson. May I also add my best wishes, Pete, for a full recovery after the operations to improve your eyesight. David H
Pete Dowson Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 There have been comments from several users of Flight 1's 'Ultimate Traffic' that a function called 'Palmspotter', which hasn't been working properly, is now happily working as it should after FSUIPC v3.30 is installed. Hmmm. Not sure why that should be. I don't think they use anything FSUIPC is involved in. I have had UT installed since it first came out and haven't noticed a problem with PalmSpotter, other than the time is usually wrong. Mnd you, that was with the original release, I've not used it for a while. May I also add my best wishes, Pete, for a full recovery after the operations to improve your eyesight. Thank you! Regards, Pete
DavidH Posted July 9, 2004 Author Report Posted July 9, 2004 The problem with Palmspotter was that it isn't showing all flights arriving and departing. It appears to affect only users who have installed the latest version of Ultimate Traffic. If yours is an earlier one you might not experience the problem. The reports say that after installing the latest version of FSUIPC the problem disappears, and all flights are now shown in Palmspotter. I should add that this is unconfirmed. If I have time, I'll try installing an older version of FSUIPC and see if it's really true. The time error is well-documented, and is caused by the way UT interacts with FS. David H
