Hello,

I have registred FSUIPC version 3.22 with the correct key code.

In the "Modules" menu of Flight Simulator, I see the "FSUIPC options and

settings" screen, but it displays only two tabs : "About" and "Logging". I

do not see the other tabs "Winds", "Visibility", "Clouds", "Technical", "

Hot Keys", "Buttons Keys" and "Joystick".

Versions used :

Windows 98

Flight Simulator 98.

Thanks for your help.

I'm afraid that none of the additional facilities are at all applicable to FS98. They are almost all concerned with manipulating data inside FS, and this started when FSUIPC was first designed -- for FS2000.

I thought this was clear from the paragraphs in the User Guide (see section "Introduction: what is FSUIPC?"):

FSUIPC.dll is a module for FS98, FS2000, FS2002 or FS2004, and it should be placed into the ‘Modules’ folder—see the Installation section below. Whilst its prime job is simply to do for FS2000, FS2002 and FS2004 exactly the same sort of work that FS6IPC.dll did for FS98, it also attempts to provide a compatible FS98 interface for these more recent versions so that applications written for FS98 will work with all of them.

...

Whilst FSUIPC can be used in FS98 in place of FS6IPC, for most users there is no particular benefit in doing so. WideFS users will want to, as will any users of those more recent applications that specifically depend on FSUIPC rather than FS6IPC. Also, application developers may wish to use the IPC logging facilities, which are still provided in FS98.

The documentaion about all the user options in those other pages, the ones you don't see, is also entitled:

Setting FSUIPC options (FS2000, FS2002, FS2004 or CFS2)

with both FS98 and CFS1 deliberately omitted. This is because none of those facilities are applicable in those cases.

What, in particular, were you hoping to get by installing and registering FSUIPC in FS98? I do hope you haven't spent your money inadvisedly.

Regards,

Pete
