Pittnuma Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Hi, I have a registered copy of your FSUIPC and would like to know if it is possible for FSUIPC to be programmed to start an fx. I would like to add an FX of flares being released from an aircraft and to a different a/c I would like to add a fuel dump (the F-111). I am not sure how to program gauges etc, so this is my next idea, the other problem was all the normal keys are taken for the effects (ie the water rudder key, the nose droop key, tail and wing fold) so I can't use those. Maybe the tail hook is free on 1. Any ideas? Kind Regards Darren Clare Pittnuma EFC-674
Pete Dowson Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 I have a registered copy of your FSUIPC and would like to know if it is possible for FSUIPC to be programmed to start an fx. No, not directly. I've no idea how they are produced. Aren't they tied to specific events? If you can cause the event, then the effect will occur I epect. I am not sure how to program gauges etc, so this is my next idea Are you saying that if you could program gauges you could induce effects from them? If you can tell me how they would do that maybe I can find out how to do it too. the other problem was all the normal keys are taken for the effects (ie the water rudder key, the nose droop key, tail and wing fold) so I can't use those. Maybe the tail hook is free on 1. I'm completely lost here. What "keys" are these? Not keyboard keys it seems. Is this something realted to how FX are defined? Regards, Pete
Pittnuma Posted July 21, 2004 Author Report Posted July 21, 2004 Hi Peter, I am only going by the little info I have gleened from people. Basically I believe you can program an XML gauge that starts an effect, there is 1 on most mil aircraft for the afterburner effect, it starts it at a certain rpm setting/flight param. The keys I mentioned are infact the key commands for the tail hook etc, I presume these are hard coded into FS, maybe more could be added I really am not sure. In which case maybe you could have key press F that releases the flares. as I say I don't know, I am trying to find this out. Unfortunately the info is scetchy at best at the moment, I will have to look into it further. I will get back to you. Regards Pitt
