Hi Pete,

There is an option in FSUIPC to keep the local clock and the FS Clock synced up.

I am wondering if there is a way to get FS or FSUIPC to automatically set the flight to match the system local time.

Thanks,

Yes, but not the same time -- the same difference in time. Basically it makes sure the seconds match, the rest follows. It is to stop FS saying say 3 hours have passed when your watch says otherwise.

I am wondering if there is a way to get FS or FSUIPC to automatically set the flight to match the system local time.

What does that mean? Sorry, I don't understand the question.

Pete

Hi Again Pete,

I was referring to forcing FS to use the local systems time if a check box was selected. On every flight.

So, if I started up a flight that was saved, and that flight was set to 13:00 but my PC's clock was set to 17:00 FSUIPC would force FS to the same time as my PC.

If possible in a future version, great, if not no problem :)

Keep up the good work.

Isn't that a standard feature of FS as it is? It always used to be -- you could opt to have is setting "flight" time (i.e. as saved in the flight you load) or as current local time as on your PC. Certainly the default way I have FS set up here seems to do that.

I've just loaded up FS, it got to its initial "create a flight" menu and the "Selected time and season" entry is automatically preset to today at the time on my PC.

I've just checked the Options - Settings - General, there's a Time option for "System Time" or "Flight Time". Maybe you have Flight Time set?

Hi Pete... that is what I thought, but apparently not. I have it set to system time, but alas.. it does not seem to work here. (Actually, that is what I thought your option fixed before this conversation).

Anyway... 'tis something I will report to the powers at be. Maybe it is a timezone issue or something.
