kiste Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Hi Pete, first, let me tell you that I am absolutely not sure, whether I have a problem with FSUIPC or not. It´s really strange, please see yourself... : The main problem is that addon weather radar gauges such as the RealityXP Wx500 or the Simflyer MFD WXR (which is equipped with the Common Weather Radar by Florian Praxmarer) show strange results. The MFD WXR doesn´t work at all. So far I have tried out everything, but never had any luck. Within FSUIPC I changed several settings and even within the .ini files of the mentioned products I tried to change several parameters. So this was really an in-depth research for the strange error I am experiencing. Here is a pic of what I mean: So far I have asked for help in the RealityXP forum (see this thread: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=7028&PN=1 and in the Simflyer Forum (via PM). I also asked for help in several other forums in which I´m active. Although a lot of investigation was done, I had no luck of getting a reasonable answer. So you are my last chance... . Something you should know: I am a registered FSUIPC user and so far it never came to my mind that I have a problem with your product. Whenever I made changes to FSUIPC (e.g. "clear weather" or "default weather settings", ...) they were accurately displayed in Flight Simulator. However, there seems to be an in-depth problem which results in a communication error with FS. Of course, I am using the latest FSUIPC version available. In spring, I purchased a new computer system and installed FS2004 on it. As I have tons of addons and AI traffic, I grabbed the whole content of the FS2004 folder from my old system and overwrote the content of the new FS2004 installation. This really went fine and also FSUIPC and the licence was copied without problems. Maybe this has something to do with the problem I´m experiencing.
antonio_beta Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 Good morning, would have a problem with the servant-motors for the construction of the tools of edge. I use FSBUS and FSUIPC, I have built the cards COM III and Servant to make to rotate the analogical tools but mine motor-serv, that a maximum rotation of 180° they have, they succeed only in rotating of 90°. I have tried to settare various parameters in FSBUS (version 2.2) but I don't succeed in resolving the problem. The only remedy is that to use 2 motors for the axle X (-90°+90°=180°) and 2 motors for the axle Y (-90°+90°=180°), planning to a motor for axle the MULTIPLER = -1. But every serv-motor costs me so much and however is a job from crazy persons!!! Is there a solution to make to work the I serve to 180°? I should use only 2 motors to build a HSI. Waiting for Your answer I thank her Mr. Pete Dowson and I hope to resolve this enormous problem. Thanks, David
Pete Dowson Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 The main problem is that addon weather radar gauges such as the RealityXP Wx500 or the Simflyer MFD WXR (which is equipped with the Common Weather Radar by Florian Praxmarer) show strange results. The MFD WXR doesn´t work at all. I know for certain that the RealityXP stuff doesn't use FSUIPC. I don't know the other one, but I am very doubtful than any weather radar uses FSUIPC -- the information just isn't there, and I don't know how to get it. I know RealityXP cracked it. However, there seems to be an in-depth problem which results in a communication error with FS. Sorry, what does that mean? I don't understand it. All FSUIPC is doing for weather is allowing external programs to read it and write it. There's no radar support at all. Take it out and see if either of your radars complains. I doubt they will. I think you may need to contact the support site for your gauges. Sorry. Regards, Pete
Pete Dowson Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Good morning, would have a problem with the servant-motors for the construction of the tools of edge. This seems to be in the wrong thread! You may want to post this in the cockpit building forum, or in some FSBus site. Certainly the hardware you are talking about is completely outside my experience. Sorry. Regards, Pete
kiste Posted September 25, 2004 Author Report Posted September 25, 2004 Hi Pete, thank you very much for your answer so far. It really surprises me to hear that RealityXP does NOT use / need FSUIPC. The support from RealityXP asked me to check the FSUIPC settings and to remove the product for testing purposes (as you can imagine, there was no difference at all). That´s why I was asking... . Anyway, I am a little bit confused now... . Due to the fact that my weather settings happen to be completely screwed up and I have absolutely no idea what could be the reason for it, I´m thinking about a reinstallation of my system. Thank you for your support!
