oeqvist Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 FS 2004 has been acting up it don´t let me reverse the axis for my rudder pedals which it always allowed before??? Everytime I tick the button the next time I check it it´s unticked again. So is there any way via FSUIPC to achieve this. I have some MOMO Force pedals and are using them as 1 axes which is required for them to work with FS 2004.

FSUIPC isn't actually handling joystick inputs, it is handling the control values after FS has dealt with all that. You need them working reasonably well before using FSUIPC. Regards, Pete
ronzie Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 What if on the FSUIPC calibration points you reverse the in and out (left and right) set points by clicking on them when you've pressed the opposite pedal? Would FSUIPC plot a reverse interpretation curve? (I'm think of the - and + values for each limit.)

I think some of the calculations also depend on that. Regards, Pete
oeqvist Posted September 26, 2004 Author Report Posted September 26, 2004 okay bummer screw FS 2004  Damn mystery since I have used these pedals with FS 2004 for a year no problem whatsoever??? They work perfectly just get right rudder with left foot wonder if it can be a dx 9.0c issue though can´t see what that would have to do with anything but it´s unexplainable. Anyway when we are at it why would I want to calibrate both in FS 2004 and in FSUIPC? Is the calibration in FSUIPC more precise?
Pete Dowson Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 Anyway when we are at it why would I want to calibrate both in FS 2004 and in FSUIPC? Is the calibration in FSUIPC more precise? Well, as described in the FSUIPC user guide -- you can provide precise null zones in centre and min/max areas. Also, you can compensate for an off-centre device, you can apply response curves to give variable sensitivity, and in the next version you can apply anti-jitter digital filtering. Regards, Pete
Pete Dowson Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 Again, on this: What if on the FSUIPC calibration points you reverse the in and out (left and right) set points by clicking on them when you've pressed the opposite pedal? Would FSUIPC plot a reverse interpretation curve? (I'm think of the - and + values for each limit.) I'll look at providing a "reverse" checkbox for each axis into the FSUIPC joysticks section. If it isn't too difficult, I'll slip it into the next version. Regards, Pete
