gillesvana Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 dear peter We are a small team who make for pleasure a flightsim beech king air 350. At the beginning it was just our local developpement software to emulate the plane (no msfs) and no visual, just three computeurs on lan and a real panel cockpit. After, with the splendid visual of msfs2004 we have wanted to synchronized our master (no fs) with 3 fs2004 'computers for the visual. we have take a registration of your Fsuipc and Widefs and made a small DLL to synchronized the plane with the visual. (today it's ok) and still thanks for your great work. this change all !! Today we 've bought the reality xp garmin530 software for use on our simulator and on another computer with fs. our fs' computeur are on "Y" mode of course and when fs is "slew mode" the ground speed is null. and the garmin is not able to show the ground speed and calculate the ETE, ETA etc. So we've write the ground speed of our master through the network on the fsuipc data (Offset 02b4 or 6030 ) but it's impossible to change this one (read only data) But it's certainly this offset who is read by the garmin 530 software. sorry to have so long, could you make a miracle or give us a solution. thank's for your cooperation. fsfan@free.fr
Pete Dowson Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 So we've write the ground speed of our master through the network on the fsuipc data (Offset 02b4 or 6030 ) but it's impossible to change this one (read only data) Not read only (well, the GPS area may be), it is just that writing a value has n effect because it will immediately be overwritten again by the simulation engine. But it's certainly this offset who is read by the garmin 530 software. sorry to have so long, could you make a miracle or give us a solution. Is this Reality software the gauge or DLL I'm vaguely aware of? If so it doesn't use FSUIPC. I expect it reads this stuff like any gauge would -- through the panels interface to obtain values direct from FS. There's really no way I can influence that. Virtualy all "Offsets" these days are only available to FSUIPC clients Regards, Pete
