pauld_za Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Hi, I am using FSUIPC 3.411 with an simple 2-throttle quadrant. I have enabled mapping of both 1->12, 2->3 and 1->12, 2->34. Whenever I enable the filter, the mapping goes wrong and I end-up with the following 1->12, 2->2 and 1->12, 2->24 eventhough the above mapping is still enabled. This means, I effectively lose control of throttle 3. If disable filtering, the mapping is corrected. Any ideas? regards Paul
Pete Dowson Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I am using FSUIPC 3.411 with an simple 2-throttle quadrant. I have enabled mapping of both 1->12, 2->3 and 1->12, 2->34. Only one of those will be operative -- in fact 1->12, 2->3 is a subset of the other in any case. Whenever I enable the filter, the mapping goes wrong and I end-up with the following 1->12, 2->2 and 1->12, 2->24 eventhough the above mapping is still enabled. Ouchokay, I'll check it here. If I can reproduce it I will fix it ready for the next release. For the time being please just disable the filtering. Thanks, Pete
Daniel Delande Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 I have a 4-lever quadrant, I confirm the problem. It occurs when Filter 2 is checked. This applies to throttle and prop pitch (as for mixture, I don't know). It does not occur when only Filter 1 is checked.

I've fixed it in an interim test version of FSUIPC, which I did send to the original reporter (though I've not heard from him since then). Do you want one as well? Otherwise it will be fixed in the next official release, early December I expect. Regards, Pete
Daniel Delande Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 Do you want one as well? I certainly can wait until early December, and even longer. But, of course, I accept to test it if you think it helps. Best regards, Daniel Delande
pauld_za Posted November 20, 2004 Author Report Posted November 20, 2004 Hi Pete, sorry I haven't replied sooner-I've been away. The update you sent fixed the problem. Thanks Paul

Daniel Delande Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 Hi Pete, Thank you for your update 3.422. I tested throttles, rpms and mixtures with 4-engine aircrafts, and I also tested throttles with a 3-engine aircraft. Everything is fine. Thanks again for being so responsive. A word about 3 and 4-engine aircrafts: Only one of those will be operative -- in fact 1->12, 2->3 is a subset of the other in any case I'm afraid it's a little bit different: 1->12, 2->3 actually applies to 3-engine aircrafts, and 1->12, 2->34 applies to 4-engine aircrafts. I remember this accurately because I am the guy who asked you, about 2 years ago, to extend the original throttle mapping for 4-engine aircrafts to the rpms, mixtures for both 3 and 4-engine aircrafts. Best regards, Daniel Delande
