Schunken Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Hello! Sorry to ask again in this Forum.... but I now fidel since 5 hours to connect a real GARMIN Street Pilot GPS to FS 9.... I be sure I set serial port correct.... Garmin offers the follow protocols: GArmin Garmin DGPS NMEA RTCM ...but I was not able to connect it.... (maybe german User is not compatible with Garmin? but I think I was read in your readme that is possible to connect a street Pilot..... I think it has not much different to a avionic GPS, because I see on Website the body and switches are identical.... This drive me mad...LOL  Andreas
Pete Dowson Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 but I now fidel since 5 hours to connect a real GARMIN Street Pilot GPS to FS 9.... I really very much doubt that is possible. It seems that Garmin only provide such facilities on their aviation GPS's, and then it's via the AV400 format. I have two different Garmin GPSs and it certainly isn't possible on either. but I think I was read in your readme that is possible to connect a street Pilot..... I think it has not much different to a avionic GPS, because I see on Website the body and switches are identical.... But the Garmin GPS III Pilot and the GPS 196 units both have "AV400" protocol support, and that is what has to be used with them, in simulator mode. This is an aviation protocol. Your box may look similar, but it will be the program in its ROM which is different. Regards, Pete
Schunken Posted November 17, 2004 Author Report Posted November 17, 2004 Ahhh! Thank you, at least it not work, but you show me is a problem of hardware and not of user ;) Thanks a lot! Andreas
