Patrick Doman Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Pete, first I want to thank you for your work in building the software you have to allow us to better utilize flight simulator with online flight. Since applying the 9.1 patch, and upgrading to the latest version 3.4.1.1 of FSUIPC, I had some issues connecting to the servers as Squawkbox would crash on the user32.dll component. I resolved that by reinstalling some applications and finding the proper way to step by step, sign onto the Vatsim network. Since I have been able to reconnect however, I have been having issues where other aircraft aren't showing up at all. Does this possibly have anything to do with the FSUIPC.DLL module? Thanks for your time.
Pete Dowson Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 I have been having issues where other aircraft aren't showing up at all. Does this possibly have anything to do with the FSUIPC.DLL module? Other aircraft aren't "showing up" where, in the FS aircraft menu, or are you talking about AI aircraft on screen or multiplayer? FSUIPC doesn't have anything to do with the appearance of aircraft in menus or on screen. If you have problems with multiplayer (as used by Squawkbox for instance) I'm afraid you'll need to ask elsewhere as it's an area I know nothing whatsoever about. And AI aircraft are to do with scenery files -- if they aren't showing up it's more likely due to your scenery library file not pointing to wherever your AI traffic BGLs are. Regards Pete
Patrick Doman Posted November 28, 2004 Author Report Posted November 28, 2004 I figured it was Squawkbox.... I realized what I had asked you after I posted. Thanks for the quick reply.
