Armando Di Francesco Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Hi all, I'm new programming with FSUIPC, and i think its a great tool. I need some help because i want to set the position latitude longitude of ai planes in FS9 using an external program, like you can do in the traffic explorer of the traffic SDK. I noticed that all the offsets regarding AI traffic are read only, and you can use the offset 2900 to control ai traffic, but here are only accepted some of the FS controls. I'm looking for help on how i can write directly to AI planes to move them or change heading. Best regards Armando
Pete Dowson Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 i want to set the position latitude longitude of ai planes in FS9 using an external program, like you can do in the traffic explorer of the traffic SDK. Sorry, I don't know how to do that. It would be a very useful facility if I could implement it. The official FS Traffic Explorer program has rather an advantage here -- it was written by the actual person in the FS team who programmed the FS2004 traffic modules in the first place. Unfortunately MS don't divulge any of those methods and even by hacking into the code I've not been able to find anything more useful than what I've already offered. I'm looking for help on how i can write directly to AI planes to move them or change heading. I think you can use the controls to put them into slew mode then move them around with the slew controls. Regards, Pete
Armando Di Francesco Posted January 18, 2005 Author Report Posted January 18, 2005 Thank you Pete, slewing AI planes could be the way to achieve this i will try and will keep you informed. :D I think its possible. Best Armando
