Trouble registering SquawkBox with FSUIPC

I've tried to register SquawkBox 2.3.5 using the key provided here and it doesn't work. Each time SquawkBox connects, I get an error message from FSUIPC, stating that one of my applications is not registered. In the log file, I see this message:

I entered the program name as : "squawkbox", "SquawkBox", "SquawkBox 2.3" , "SquawkBox 2.3.5" but nothing worked. What can I do?

You have Squawkbox installed in some peculiar way. As far as FSUIPC can see, the program name is "SQUAWK~1". It will never register with that name. You need to sort out the SB installation so that it loads with normal Windows program and path names, not those DOS 8-character abbreviations. Check with SB support if you used their installer.

As listed in the Freeware keys list above, the correct name to enter is "SquawkBox", but this has to match what FSUIPC sees to be running, which it doesn't at present.
