Hi

I wonder if you can help, I am new to FS and have downloaded all the relevant files to get online with it through VATSIM.

I previously got sb working but it flickered on/off on the screen and I couldnt use it, you know right-click, flash, gone etc so through a forum i found fsui[c to run it in a seperate window.....

I'm having a problem with SB and FSUIPC.

I get everything set up and in FS I see the empty window where I expect SB to appear but I then get an error that some module is not registered with FSUIPC (or something along those lines)

The set up is FS2004, hostsb.dll, sbrelay12, squawkbox 2.1

System is winxp home

This is the error logfile:

There is a freeware key for Squawkbox, but not this version. The details for the accredited version are given in the Freeware Keys list above.

The main problem here is that the Product description is wrong -- there's never been a registration key requested or issued for a Squawkbox with a product field saying "sb2 Application". Perhaps your copy is out of date?

Pete

Hi again,

after more reading i found the squawkbox freeware key and registered it without trouble.

I still dont see SB in the window though, just blank and i still get the message popup about 1 or more programs i am using not being registered with fsuipc.

Help !

Thanks

Hi

thanks for the prompt reply, our messages overlapped just now !

So, you suspect my SB program is an old version or do I have to edit some file and replace that "sb2" bit.

Sorry Peter, I'm a bit green to this.

ok, i checked the properties of the sb exe file, the product name is indeed sb2 application. So I guess I'll find another version to download. Thanks again, I'll post later with an update.

Appreciate you putting up with all the posters wee problems !

Ian :-)
