Upper winds problem

Hi, Folks and Pete !

After installing FS9 on a new system and using AS2004 (latest update) with FSUIPC i got the problem that no wind speeds are transferred to FS9.

I.E.: In AS2004 i get upper winds 253@50 kts ..in FS i get winds from 253 but at 0 kts. So the wind direction is diplayed correctly but with no wind speed.

Same happens without AS2004 but with the FS9 Jeppessen WX as well as with VATSIM WX through SBalways no winds peed but correct wind direction

Any ideas ?

If FS's own weather is not providing upper winds, even with the option to do so enabled, then I think it really cannot be to do with the FSUIPC interface. I assume you've checked the FSUIPC Wind options to make sure you are not imposing some limits or taxi-wind or something -- although they would affect surface winds.

Sounds like something is bad with the FS9 install. I really cannot think of anything which would have such an odd effect. Sorry.
