Flying-Paul Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Hello friends! I'm not really sure about the use of the program GFDisplay: Do the displays of the GF Modules working correct if I use them with the GF-Software instead of programming through FSUIPC? So that in this case I have no need for GFDisplay?? Thanks for your answers! Best regards Paul
Pete Dowson Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Do the displays of the GF Modules working correct if I use them with the GF-Software instead of programming through FSUIPC? So that in this case I have no need for GFDisplay?? Of course you haven't. You have no need of programming GoFlight buttons in FSUIPC either. If you only need the functions GoFlight provides by default, what's the problem? The provisions in FSUIPC and GFDisplay are only for those who want to do something different. If you don't, then I'm not sure of the point of the original question. Regards, Pete
Flying-Paul Posted April 4, 2005 Author Report Posted April 4, 2005 Hi Pete! Thanks for immedate reply. I need to update FSUIPC and WideFS because I use SB3. Another question: I have a twin-throttle-quadrant in use and had some problems to make all the axes working properly. Can I make a copy of the fsuipc.ini and store it back after having updated fsuipc, so that all functionality of my hardware is still provided? At the moment I use FSUIPC 2.975 Tanks a lot for reply. Best regards Paul

Installing a new FSUIPC.DLL doesn't touch the INI file. There's no INI file provided with the package. Just replace the DLL when you update. At the moment I use FSUIPC 2.975 Well, there are a lot of changes in the INI since then, but none that I know of will cause any problems when updating. If you want to be really sure, then move out the old INI file, let the new FSUIPC make a new one, then cut and paste the Joystick sections from your old one into your new one. Regards, Pete
