Hello,

I have a nev computer since yesterday and have the following problem. After starting the FS2004 the message WideServer waiting for clients appears and after several seconds there is only them message: Wideserver: not able to serve (see log)

I simply copied the FSUIPC and WideFS related datas incl. the FSUIPC key from the old computer to the \modules directory of the new one.

On the old computer it still works, but not on the new one.

What can I do?

The FSUIPC log shows the following:

********* FSUIPC, Version 3.45 by Pete Dowson *********

Running inside FS2004(original release)

FSUIPC Key is provided

FSUIPC not user registered

WideFS Key is provided

WIDEFS not user registered, or expired

The WideServer log:

********* WideServer.DLL Log [version 6.45] *********

Blocksize guide = 4096 (double allowed)

Date (dmy): 13/05/05, Time 17:55:54.031: Server name is PETER-XPHOME

22047 WideFS cannot be used until it is Registered through FSUIPC (version 3.44 or later)

531953 Closing down now ...

Memory managed: Offset records: 0 alloc, 0 free

Throughput maximum achieved: 0 frames/sec, 0 bytes/sec

Throughput average achieved for complete session: 0 frames/sec, 0 bytes/sec

If you re-install Windows, or move to another PC, you need to re-enter the codes into FSUIPC, as you did when you first got them. If you have copied the FSUIPC.KEY file over, all you should need to do is re-enter the Keys. If you cannot find them you can cut-and-paste them from the KEY file, which is a simple text file you can view with Notepad.

********* FSUIPC, Version 3.45 by Pete Dowson *********

...

********* WideServer.DLL Log [version 6.45] *********

Please note that you are out of date with both of these, so they are both effectively unsupported. Current supported versions are FSUIPC 3.48 and WideFS 6.47.

Regards,

Pete
