mikealpha Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 I have a question regarding pressure changes. I often get sudden altitude jumps up to 100 ft when using real weather (ASV). Makes a flight unsteady, because the Autopilot needs to deal with that. 100 ft would roughly correspond to a 4 mb pressure change. I have activated 'smooth pressure changes' in FSUIPC with a setting 1 mb over 5 secs (for testing even 30 seconds), but that does not help. Is that a question that needs to be adressed to ASV developers, because they might deactivate or overwrite that setting ? Or is it something, that might not work as intended in FSUIPC ? Shall I record a weather log ? Mike
Pete Dowson Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Is that a question that needs to be adressed to ASV developers, because they might deactivate or overwrite that setting ? Or is it something, that might not work as intended in FSUIPC ? I don't really know. As far as I know it still works okay in FSUIPC. I've never noticed any such problem, and I've been using ASV ever since it came out. Have you checked its option settings? It is certainly one of the FSUIPC facilities it can override. Next time you have ASV running, go to FSUIPC's Technical tab and see if it unchecked and greyed-out. If there is any FSUIPC problem I'm afraid I won't be able to look at it for a while. I might be able to aqueeze something in after Christmas, or early January, but otherwise it will be February. Regards, Pete
