Thomas321 Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 Hello, If i have one RIC on the ProConsole and the other RIC is connected to the Digital Avionics, can i configure this 2 RICS independetly from each other without loosing the Functions on the other RIC? So i want to configure one RIC using PFC.dll and the other RIC using FSUIPC-Buttons Facility. Possible ? Regards, Thomas

So i want to configure one RIC using PFC.dll and the other RIC using FSUIPC-Buttons Facility. Possible ? I shouldn't think so because the firmware only provides one code for each switch -- PFC.DLL cannot distinguish between identical codes. In fact I've no idea how you managed to connect two. I would assume they'd use the same driver circuits on the digital controller board and maybe even damage them. I'd re-check with PFC if I were you. Regards, Pete
Thomas321 Posted May 14, 2006 Author Report Posted May 14, 2006 Hello Pete, At this time , i have no PFC-Stuff. I want to know this, for planning purposes. I would not connect 2 RICs. One RIC is in the Pro Console INTEGRATED. The other RIC comes with the Digital Avionics. Now i want to left all the Functions predestined for a RIC on the Pro Console(ADF,ALT,CRS,HDG,OBS), and program the (2nd)RIC on the Digital Avionics with other Functions using FSUIPCs Button Facilities... Regards, Thomas
Pete Dowson Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 I would not connect 2 RICs. One RIC is in the Pro Console INTEGRATED. The other RIC comes with the Digital Avionics. Can that be done? I'm sure they all still use only the one digital control board, which in this case is in the Pro Console. If two RICs are connected it will likely either fail or provide the same signals for each. There's only one firmware controlling it all, in the console. Now i want to left all the Functions predestined for a RIC on the Pro Console(ADF,ALT,CRS,HDG,OBS), and program the (2nd)RIC on the Digital Avionics with other Functions using FSUIPCs Button Facilities... How, if they look the same to the software? Please check all this with PFC. Regards, Pete
