Steering tiller axis

Hi Pete,

I have installed fsuipc version 3.617 (registered). I am interested in trying the newly incorporated "steering tiller" function, however I have been unable to locate any reference to it in the "axis assignment" page. I would have thought to find it in the dropdown list of assignments but cannot see it there.

Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place, or, more likely, misunderstand what has to be done to set up the function. Could you help please?

It won't be in the FS axes drop-down list -- only in the direct-to-FSUIPC list. FS itself doesn't have such a control. I'm sure I said "direct assignment" in the release notes?

You can use the regular rudder control for your main rudder (i.e. set in FS), but this one is special to FSUIPC. Once assigned there you go to the calibrations page and calibrate it. both the rudder and tiller need calibrating in FSUIPC.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. Yes it did say just that but the implication of the "direct" did not filter through to my septagenarian brain.
