caerleon Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 Hi Peter, I hope you had a good holiday. I have just recent downloaded the recommended panel for CaptSim 757. I now have this error message and it locks up my FS9 Program =( I have a .reg and a .key file. I have pasted the error as im sure you would understand it if i dont. I have payed of a registered copy before, although im not sure if it was deleted in my last hard drive crash. ********* FSUIPC, Version 3.60 by Pete Dowson ********* Running inside FS2004 (FS9.1 CONTROLS.DLL, FS9.1 WEATHER.DLL) User Name="" User Addr="" FSUIPC not user registered WIDEFS not user registered, or expired Module base=61000000 ClassOptions: UIPCMAIN=FF7F, FS98MAIN=FF7F, FS2KMAIN=FF5E WeatherOptions(Orig)=0000B027[0000B027] InitDelay: 0 seconds WeatherReadInterval=4 LogOptions=00000001 DebugStatus=0 1609 System time = 00:21:02 1609 H:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\ 1609 System time = 00:21:02, FS2004 time = 12:00:00 (00:00Z) 2703 FLIGHTS\OTHER\FLTSIM.flt 2719 AIRCRAFT\c172\Cessna172SP.air 5015 Module [M1] identified = "PMDGOptions.DLL" 5015 Module [M1] "PMDGOptions.DLL" access registration is okay 6734 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 11344 AIRCRAFT\757-200_Captain\cs757-200.air 11609 Module [M2] identified = "L_ILH_TCAS2.GAU" 11609 Module [M2] "ILH_TCAS.gau" access registration is invalid 11609 Illegal read attempt: offset F000, size 8 [M2] 11609Program or module not accredited for use with this unregistered FSUIPC 12890 ### IPC Message processed in 1281mSecs ### Any help would be appriciated. Pete Dowson Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 I have a .reg and a .key file. I have pasted the error as im sure you would understand it if i dont. A .reg file? That would be nothing to do with FSUIPC. 11609 Module [M2] identified = "L_ILH_TCAS2.GAU" 11609 Module [M2] "ILH_TCAS.gau" access registration is invalid I'm pretty sure that the ILH_TCAS gauge has a valid key, but it looks like the gauge has been renamed to L_ILH_TCAS2 which will make its key invalid. Regards, Pete
caerleon Posted June 27, 2006 Author Report Posted June 27, 2006 My gauges directory contains both of the .gau files listed? I'm not sure with issue surronding the modification of the files that call up this gauge when loading the model at all, i simply placed the file as per instruction, but i think it said something about 767 PIC program? I modified the Offending gauge to .old and it still crashes out =( Can you please tell me which type of file the instruction is in to call up this gauge and i will try removing it to stop the error. The .reg was infact a FSUIPC_Reg.Bin and contains the following text:- CKBIONEOZR7E ILH_TCAS.gau Im sure its more machine code etc, but then im not an expert in that area. Thank you for your support, Rgds, Caerleon
caerleon Posted June 27, 2006 Author Report Posted June 27, 2006 Looks like i sorted out the issue, seems that i had not copied accross the files correctly and i have several panel.cfgs to choose from i just deleted and started again seems to work now, apart from double images in cockpit it's fine lol. Sorry my mistake. Rgds, Caerleon
Pete Dowson Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 I modified the Offending gauge to .old and it still crashes out =( What's "crashing out" precisely? Where's the log. A failure of a gauge to gain access to FSUIPC rarely makes anything crash at all, let alone 2out" -- all that happens with TCAS gauges is they don't get any targets to show. Removing a gauge doesn't fix the panel anyway unless you edited the panel configuration. you should simply change the name of the gauge being called up in Panel.CFG. Can you please tell me which type of file the instruction is in to call up this gauge and i will try removing it to stop the error. That's really a job for whoever supplied the aircraft/panel, but all gauges are called via entries in their CFG file, of course. I don't have the aircraft you are talking about. The .reg was infact a FSUIPC_Reg.Bin and contains the following text:- CKBIONEOZR7E ILH_TCAS.gau Im sure its more machine code etc, but then im not an expert in that area. The FSUIPC_Reg.Bin is merely a diagnostic output created by FSUIPC to make it easy to find problems with registrations. It appears to show the correct key for the correctly named gauge, ILH_TCAS, so if anything it is one more indication that the aircraft you are using has a renamed gauge which has no valid key. The problem is not with ILH_TCAS the fact that it has been renamed to L_ILH_TCAS2. Why they've renamed it I've no idea, sorry. Just try editing the Panel.CFG file, changing "L_ILH_TCAS2" to "ILH_TCAS". Regards, Pete
