dohallo Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 I just Purchased FSUIP and received my KEY. Please note that for these keys to work you MUST be using FSUIPC version 3.53 or later. Download the latest from http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.( Did this!) 1. I Run Flight Simulator (with FSUIPC installed according to its documented instructions) ( Did This!) 2. When it is running fully (not waiting at the initial flight selection screen), enter the FSUIPC options via the FSUIPC item in the Modules menu (type ALT M F or use the mouse (Did this ok!) 2. You will see the main "About" screen in FSUIPC. Click on the button on the right labelled "Register FSUIPC (Did this ok!) 3. In the dialogue which appears, enter the following. 4. Put in Name and KEY 5. 5. Click on the OK button. You should get confirmation that the registration was accepted ( Did this ok and was excepted! ) 6. 6. Click "Confirm" then exit from the FSUIPC options, shut down Flight Simulator, and restart it. Your FSUIPC installation should now be fully registered. You can check by going to its options again. ( Did This ok) 7. Open FS, let open default flight Cessna at Seattle! Then I pick my Boeing-PMDG 737-600 VC Like always! 8. It opens aircraft running but no gauges all black out 9. Pete Dowson Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 Open FS, let open default flight Cessna at Seattle! Then I pick my Boeing-PMDG 737-600 VC Like always! It opens aircraft running but no gauges all black out Can some one help with this This is probably one for the PMDG support folks. I don't know their aircraft. However, there are tow things I can think of: 1. Perhaps there's no power? The 737-600 has a glass cockpit system and needs electric power to show anything. Have you checked battery etc? The PMDG aircraft are quite sophisticated and usually it isn't a matter of load-and-fly. 2. If you do think it possibly has anything to do with FSUIPC (like, did this aircraft work differently BEFORE you registered FSUIPC?) then please load up FS again, load the aircraft, see the problem, close FS, the show me the FSUIPC.LOG file which you'll find in the FS Modules folder. Regards, Pete
dohallo Posted July 14, 2006 Author Report Posted July 14, 2006 Thank you Pete for the reply to let you know, everything was working before I registered! As far as the battery goes , I can't turn on lights like the panel, but yet the landing ligts go on, but no Logo or postion lights no strobe light this all seams strange don't you think? I be more than happy to contack the PMDG support folks but I don't believe thats my problem? I can't find any FSUIPC.LOG anywere in the fs Modules folder? How would I get to that? I copy this maybe it will help. ********* FSUIPC, Version 3.48 by Pete Dowson ********* Running inside FS2004 (FS9.1 CONTROLS.DLL, FS9.1 WEATHER.DLL) User Name="Dennis Ohalloran" User Addr="dohalloran@tampabay.rr.com" FSUIPC Key is provided WIDEFS not user registered, or expired Module base=61000000 ClassOptions: UIPCMAIN=FF7F, FS98MAIN=FF7F, FS2KMAIN=FF5E WeatherOptions(Orig)=40003605[40003605] InitDelay: 0 seconds WeatherReadInterval=4 LogOptions=00000001 DebugStatus=15 10500 System time = 22:38:25 10516 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\ 10532 System time = 22:38:25, FS2004 time = 12:00:00 (00:00Z) 35969 FLIGHTS\OTHER\FLTSIM.flt 36125 AIRCRAFT\c172\Cessna172SP.air 37360 Aircraft="Cessna Skyhawk 172SP" 50625 Module [M1] identified = "ActiveRadar.dll" 50625 Module [M2] identified = "PMDGOptions.DLL" 51094 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 100860 C:\Documents and Settings\Dennis\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\UI generated flight.flt 101375 Clear All Weather requested: external weather discarded 199110 AIRCRAFT\PMDG737-700\B737-700.air 200438 Aircraft="AeroMexico B737-700" 204469 Module [M3] identified = "PMDG_737NG_Main.GAU" 209469 Module [M4] identified = "PMDG_737NG_Overhead.GAU" 779797 System time = 22:51:14, FS2004 time = 22:48:13 (05:48Z) 779797 *** FSUIPC log file being closed Memory managed: 2 Allocs, 6038 Freed ********* FSUIPC Log file closed ***
dohallo Posted July 14, 2006 Author Report Posted July 14, 2006 Been fixed thank Pete. Blank CRTs with overhead panel problems on all 737 aircraft This is caused by corruption of the FSUIPC files and can be corrected as follows: Go to the Flight Simulator 9/Modules folder and delete the FSUIPC.dll, FSUIPC.txt, FSUIPC.cfg and FSUIPC.key files. Go to Peter Dowsons website and download the latest version of FSUIPC. Place the FSUIPC.dll file in the Flight Simulator 9/Modules folder and fire up Fs9 and the problem should be solved.
Pete Dowson Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 Thank you Pete for the replyto let you know, everything was working before I registered! In that case it is most certainly a problem with your Key. I can't find any FSUIPC.LOG anywere in the fs Modules folder? How would I get to that? I copy this maybe it will help. That IS the FSUIPC.LOG file. What do you mean, you can't find it??? ********* FSUIPC, Version 3.48 by Pete Dowson ********* Version 3.48!!! No wonder -- if your registration was purchased in 2006 you need 3.53 or later! Current is 3.65! The log proves it is a Key or Version problem. Please ALWAYS use the latest version! Regards, Pete
Pete Dowson Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 Blank CRTs with overhead panel problems on all 737 aircraft This is caused by corruption of the FSUIPC files and can be corrected as follows: Not corruption. You were using version 3.48 which is too old for a 2006 user registration, as was clearly notified to you in the email with the Keys. Go to the Flight Simulator 9/Modules folder and delete the FSUIPC.dll, FSUIPC.txt, FSUIPC.cfg and FSUIPC.key files. There's absolutely no need to delete anything at all. If you do you lose all your settings. All you need to do is replace the FSUIPC.DLL with the latest version (3.65 at present). Regards, Pete
