maisum Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Hi Pete, Recentelly buyed a Mel Elite throttle quadrant and register for FSUIPC. FSUIPC does not "see" the quadrant (neither FS9 ). It is normal? The only way to calibrate in this case is using Elite module that is added to fs9. The problem is that feathering the propeller in a twin is only working with King Air. In others aircrafts the lever never goes beyond the "low rpm" position. Elite says that is probably a software problem and that also happens with other throttle brands. Do you know this problem? Can you help? Thanks

I know little about Elite hardware, except that I'm pretty sure it is non-standard. It won't be seen as a joystick type device by FS or FSUIPC if it isn't by Windows. The only way to calibrate in this case is using Elite module that is added to fs9. In that case it is a bit like the serial port PFC devices, for which I do a module. However, I do provide good calibration facilities in the case of PFC. The problem is that feathering the propeller in a twin is only working with King Air. In others aircrafts the lever never goes beyond the "low rpm" position. Elite says that is probably a software problem and that also happens with other throttle brands.Do you know this problem? Can you help? No, and no, sorry. Elite are solely responsible for supporting their own devices. I believe they use FSUIPC as well, but they've never once got in touch with me. Regards, Pete
