herbert Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 Hi, I recently came across info where it has now been able to assign the steering tiller for the nose wheel a seperate axis on a joystick (PMDG) I wonder if it might be possible to somehow extend this so the tiller can be assigned to keystrokes, in a way similar to the default assignments for the rudder on the number pad? THis would be very useful Thanks Mike
Pete Dowson Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 I wonder if it might be possible to somehow extend this so the tiller can be assigned to keystrokes, in a way similar to the default assignments for the rudder on the number pad? The FSUIPC steering tiller merely operates the rudder. FS itself currently does not provide a true steering axis at all. The only difference, having a second axis, is that it can be calibrated to be more effective (for turning), whereas for normal rudder operations in the air you wouldn't want such sensitivity. THis would be very useful When just operating in increments / decrements it is identical to the rudder, so use the rudder keypresses. Regards, Pete
herbert Posted August 8, 2006 Author Report Posted August 8, 2006 Pete, Thanks for the explanation, its very clear Mike
