I have had working without any problem FSX with FSUIPC 4.06 and previous one during 20 days more or less.

Last week I had problems with FSX registration and the people from Microsoft Spain has help me to again reinstall the program.

Afterwards I have installed FSUIPC 4.06 again ( I think is the last version ) and when I have started to fly I have found that FSX crashes after loading the aircraft without any message ..... BUT ONLY WHEN I START MY FLIGHT IN NORTH OR SOUTH AMERICA .... not in any other part of the world.

After a lot of tests I have take away to a provisional folder all the content of the modules folder in relation with FSUIPC and the problem has finishit is a big surprise for me and I have not installed any scenery addon.

I would like to inform you about this problem and, if possible, ask for any solution.

I am able to make any kind of test you need in order to fix this problem

Thanks and best regards

Sorry, it will most certainly be some sort of bad FSX installation. You could try to re-install SimConnect (see the FSX Help announcement above). Otherwise please get a SimConnect log and submit all the details to Microsoft via tell_fs@microsoft.com.

Many thanks Pet for your answerI have repaired my FSX as you say, but no solution to the problem.

Then I have made the SimConnect Log with crashes in an airport at USA and Colombia and with no crashes at London and Zaragoza(Spain )

I am waiting for Microsoft answer and if you are interested I can send to you a copy of this answer.

Thanks again and regards

I'd like to see the Log for the crash, along with the FSUIPC4.LOG for the same session. ZIP and send to petedowson@btconnect.com.

I am waiting for Microsoft answer and if you are interested I can send to you a copy of this answer.

Sorry, you won't get an answer from Microsoft. They do read all of the reports but it's a one-way syatem. Your response hopefully will be a fix in a future version of FS, or better a bug fix release for FSX soon, maybe early in the New Year 9we hope!).

You are right Petethis has been the answer from Microsoft ..... but they say something I don't understand well :

We're pleased to announce the release of Flight Simulator X. For more information visit http://www.fsinsider.com.

That seems a new release is coming but the direction they give is not correctis not it ??

Anyway I have sent to you a zip file with the Log for the crash, along with the FSUIPC4.LOG for the same session. Its name is jjgp1.zip and I hope can help to solve the problem.

Thanks again and regards

Sorry, I don't understand what you are talking about. The "new release" of FS is FSX, and it was actually released a couple of months ago. Isn't it FSX that we've been talking about. What is this "direction" you are talking about?

Anyway I have sent to you a zip file with the Log for the crash, along with the FSUIPC4.LOG for the same session. Its name is jjgp1.zip and I hope can help to solve the problem.

I'm afraid all the Logs show is FSX and FSUIPC4 starting up, IVAP's module too. Everything is initialised by the 118th second and then it looks like you simply closed FS after three or four seconds. Even if you didn't close it deliberately, as far as both SimConnect and FSUIPC4 are concerned, the session is simply closed normally -- no crash.

You say this only happens in the American continents, so it sounds like there is something else doing this based on location. FSUIPC has no knowledge or checks or anything to do with location. If Ivap is the ONLY other Add-On you are using then I would suspect that, but it seems unlikely -- and it certainly doen't look like a SimConnect problem in any case. Maybe it's some add-on scenery or other product you have added which only affects the Americas?

Of course Pete, I have been always talking about FSX, but the text of the answer given by Microsoft to my report has surprised me ( my report was about FSX ). Exactly they have answer :

Your feedback is important to us! We review each submission and sincerely consider your suggestions. However, this email address is a "non-response" mailbox-meaning that although we do read each and every submission, we cannot respond to individual emails.

Flight Simulator X Released!

We're pleased to announce the release of Flight Simulator X. For more information visit http://www.fsinsider.com. FSInsider is your portal to the larger Flight Simulator community. We'll keep you informed with news, articles, downloadable content, an event calendar, and the inside scoop from the development team. The site will be growing over the next few months, so stay tuned! One way to communicate with the product team is to use the Feedback form at the bottom of each page of the site.

That seems they are announcing a release of FSXdon't you think so ?

About FSX non deliberate closureI have only added a few files downloaded from FlightSim about forest, ground, autogen, vegetation and some about scenery like Italy regions and seasons, Greece coastlines and Balear Islandsnothing from the Americas. I have also added some aircrafts from FS9 adapted for working well with FSX

Nevertheless I am going to remove all of them, IvAp included, so that I could have only basic FSX and FSUIPC. If doing so I have no solution I'll re-install FSX again from the begining.

If you think I can do any other test please tell me so, and I'll do it

Thanks again and regards

Yes, of course they are. The release they are announcing is FSX, the one you have -- this happened a couple of months ago. That's when the announcement occurred!

Er .. the email was a computer-gernerated automatic response, nothing else. The computer responding to you doesn't know what you are talking about, it just sends the same thing to everyone. This is what it means when it says "this email address is a "non-response" mailbox".

Hi Pete, here I am againand again with the same problem .... as I told you at the very begining of December I reinstalled once more FSX and also FSUIPCsince that I have been flying every day all over the world at least two times per day .... IVAO USA SO TOUR, IVAO COLOMBIA VFR TOUR, and more in Europeduring these flights I have not had any problem with FSX and, of course with FSUIPC ....

.... but this afternoon again the problem starting at an airport in South America, the simulator closes itself after 3-4 seconds without any advise .... and after that none flight starting in North/South America is possible ...... only when I take away from the main FSX folder the modules folder with FSUIPC the problem disappear.

At the very begining of December, when I reported to you the problem I also reported it to Microsoft Customer Dept here in Spain by telephon. They are very interested in this problem and they have sent to me a new copy ( of course without any charge and without asking me for the old copy ) that I have just received this morning. I am going to format my PC, install again OS, FSX and FSUIPC and try once more, but I should like to report to you that this problem has appeared again, and ask to you if could exist any problem with sceneries and FSUIPC .... it seems that all the simulator works well during a certain number of days or flight hours and after this the problem appear againI don't know and no possible understand by me.

Regards and thanks in advance

... ask to you if could exist any problem with sceneries and FSUIPC

No, sceneries and FSUIPC are absolutely and totally independent. And FSUIPC4 is totally dependent upon SimConnect. Did you get a SimConnect Log? Please see the FSX Help announcement above.

What programs or other add-ons are you using which use FSUIPC4? Could it be one of those?

The other possibility is the weather data. Do you use FSX's weather downloads? There exists a possibility that sometimes weather data for areas of the world are bad, and this might possibly upset FSX via SimConnect, when FSUIPC4, for instance, is reading the weather data.

If you have any Flights saved with the weather, with which you get these problems, maybe I could try them here to see.

Pete
