I'm not sure exactly which switches you mean, but I think they are some of those which are only implemented in the gauges themselves. They are not part of FS's simulation engine, and I'm pretty sure they can only be operated by mouse.

If you want to program them on keys or buttons I think you will need something like Luciano Napolitano's Key2Mouse program.

thank you very much for the quick response,

the switch i mean is on the default 747 400 it is the engine display it can be chaned to show information on engine start up eicas 1/2 not listed as that maybe as you say noy key command,i am building my own sim at a struggle, unfortunatley i do not understand programming but am busy reading about fsuipc, also i am stumbling along making panels from dismanteld usb joysticks, this is all good as long as i am using push to make buttons, toggles dont seem to work if i use more than 2 off each usb controller like i say im no programmer so this could take me a long time,i am finding the forums here a gold mine of usefull information and will be spending alot of time reading and learning new ways to do stuff, and from what i have read so far your the main man,

thank you for your help

Yes, that is purely an internal gauge facility. There are no FS controls for it, and no keyboard shortcuts either I fear.

Sorry, I may not be understanding you here I'm afraid. Toggles are the same as momentary push buttons but you program them to switch something "on" with "push", and "off" with "release" -- the "push" is switching the toggle on, the "release" is switching it off. Is that clearer?
