joe767 Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Hi Guys I have a ch Yoke USB and and F-16 Combatstick connected together. Its been working fine until severao days ago when I noticed that I can turn much in FS 2004 or FSX. I tried several times to calibrate it and when I calibrated with fsuipc it only shows 7000 full movement which I believe should be 16300. Can anyone help me please, Im using a registered version of fsuipc. Thanks
Pete Dowson Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 ... when I calibrated with fsuipc it only shows 7000 full movement which I believe should be 16300. No. The full movement of the joystick itself can be almost anything. Quite a lot of USB gamepads have a range from -7000 odd to +7000 odd, not the max -16383 to +16383. It doesn't matter to FSUIPC because the calibration spreads whatever your range is (shown in the "IN" box) to the range needed by FS (shown in the "OUT" box. If you aren't achieving that spread you are not following the instructions correctly. If you have the axes assigned in FS (rather than in FSUIPC's Axis Assignments) then, before you do any such thing in FSUIPC, you should: 1. Calibrate the axes in Windows, using the normal Game controllers applet in the Control Panel. 2. In FS ensure that the Sensitivity slider is at Max (full right) and the null zone slider is at Min (full left) for every axis. If these are wrong you lose some of the range and definition of your axes. Regards Pete
joe767 Posted October 9, 2007 Author Report Posted October 9, 2007 Thank you very much Mr. Darson I'll try your suggestions, but its weird to me that it changes now because it was always 16328 to -16328 now its showing 7000 to -7000 but the throttle is still 16328. Anyway I'll try your suggestion and report back. Thank you. Joe
joe767 Posted October 9, 2007 Author Report Posted October 9, 2007 Well it seems it was the sensitivity and null settings. They were moved some how but after your suggesting its working. Thanks Joe
