Had a problem with my FSX system earlier in the week. I decided to uninstall FSX and clean everything up and do a full reinstall of everything. I installed in this order:

FSX

SDK

Acceleration

SDK1a (from Acceleration CD)

SDK2 (from Acceleration CD)

When I go to install the 4.25 FSUIPC I get an error stating that it's the wrong version of SimConnect.

I removed the 3 files found in the C:\Windows\.... Directory as indicated in the sticky thread. I then ran the Acceleration Repair.

I tried to install FSUIPC again and same error.

HELP! I can't compete in the RTW race unless I can get FSUIPC installed and working so the Duenna logger can run.

Here's the log info:

------------------------

Installer for FSUIPC4.DLL version 4.25

Looking in registry for FSX install path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0

Parameter"SetupPath"

SetupPath="H:\Flight Simulator X\"

Checking version of FSX.EXE:

... Version 10.0.61637.0 (Need at least 10.0.60905.0)

Checking compatibility with installed SimConnect:

... Probe Manifest fails to match a valid base SimConnect needed to load FSUIPC4!

Found later build SimConnect 61242 (SP1 May07)

Found later build SimConnect 61259 (Acc/SP2 Oct07)

There's not actually an error saying that. Please be more precise when reporting the wording, or, better, show the Install Log.

I removed the 3 files found in the C:\Windows\.... Directory as indicated in the sticky thread.

That's a bit drastic without consultation and checking what error you were getting. You could do more damage than good. And there are no "files" you should delete -- the three things listed are actually FOLDERS!

I then ran the Acceleration Repair.

If you deleted all three SimConnects, you would also first need to run the main FSX repair, from the original FSX DVD.

That confirms it. You have no base (RTM) SimConnect installed, only the two installed by Acceleration. You need to do it all again but repir FSX before Acceleration!
