plane-lover Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 Hello Peter ! I've buy the fokker 100 of Digital Aviation, im a fs9.0 User on vista prenuim ... The problem is that i can't use the digital aviation fokker without a correct version of the last fsuipc ( so ive automatic pilot and flt control problem on the fokker) ... So ive downloaded the last version of the FSUIPC ( v3.8.0) and ive extract of the downloaded file, the FSUIPC.dll in my FS9/module folder and overwhrite the older version ... But when I start Fs9 again, I start a flight, and, on ground I press "Alt"/Module/FSUIPCand ive an error message telling to me : So, as the fsuipc doesn't work, the fokker doesn't work anymore ... And i don't know what I can do to repair that, i haven't find "Globalsingn root fix" ? And I don't know what is Cryptograhic ? Im very desapointed, ive seen on this forum similar problem but only with FSX ( FSUIPC4) but, here its on FS9 ... What can I do to resolve this problem ? Thank you a lot !! Guillaume :D :D
Pete Dowson Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 and ive an error message telling to me : Sorry, the message didn't show up. And i don't know what I can do to repair that, i haven't find "Globalsingn root fix" ? And I don't know what is Cryptograhic ? Look in the ZIP!!! Im very desapointed, ive seen on this forum similar problem but only with FSX ( FSUIPC4) but, here its on FS9 No. It is actually more a problem with FSUIPC3, not FSUIPC4, as FSX can only run on XP SP1 or later and that normally already has the "GlobalSign" data installed -- except Microsoft made a mistake with some foreign language versions of Windows. What can I do to resolve this problem ? Why not read the documentation, which explains all this? In the Installation section, near the front of the User Guide, there is an "Important" boxed section explaining EXACTLY what to do. The GlobalSign fix is in the ZIP. Didn't you bother to look at all?? :-( Pete
Burger Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Hello Peter, I have the exact same problem and I did check all the manuals etc you are referring to. I tried the Global Fix, I tried reinstalling FSUIPC, I tried reinstalling the Fokker programma. I tried to run everything as administrator but still, no autopilot, no ailerons, no rudder and the same message as described above. What can I do? I can not fully enjoy a seemingly beautiful programme on my fs9 (running on a Vista home premium system). So HELP! Kind Regards, M. Burger
Pete Dowson Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 I have the exact same problem and I did check Can you please explain what this "exact same problem" is? Show me the FSUIPC log file please. What version of FSUIPC are you trying? What version of Vista. I need information to help -- if it is a code signature prtoblem, which you appear to imply, did you right-click on the DLL and check it, as advised? If so, what were the results? If not, why not? I cannot help in a vacuum I'm afraid. The code signing is a standard Microsoft-upported third party one provided by Globalsign, and all Windows XP installations did automatically include this after SP1. It appears some non-English versions of Vista are missing the root certificates. That is the only problem I know about, and that is fixed by the "global Fix" supplied by Globalsign. Pete
Burger Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Hello Pete, Thanks for the quick reply. I'll send you more information when I get home tonight. I understand why you can't help me now. Anyway, I tried everything I could find in your manuals and on this site and it didn't work. So you'll get more information later on. Once again, thanks. Hopefully we"ll be able to work this out. Kind regards, M. Burger
Burger Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Hello Pete. Hereby is the log. I hope you'll find all the info you need. Pete Dowson Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Hereby is the log. I hope you'll find all the info you need. Like I stated, I tried every suggestion made in the manuals and on various sites. The crypthographic services are running fine on my computer and the Global Fix didn't help. The log only shows that the GlobalSign certificate didn't verify correctly on your system. It does give an error number (0x80092026) which may be useful if I have to refer it to GlobalSign or Microsoft, but meanwhile you are still not providing haslf of the information I asked for. i.e. what does the signature checking say if you check it via the DLL's properties, and what version of Vista are you using (version and language). Also, please check in Internet Explorer to see if you have the GlobalSign root listed there and whether I have been listed an "untrusted" rather than "trusted". Go to Tools - Internet Options - Publishers. In "Trusted Root Certificates" there should be "GlobalSign" and "GlobalSign Root CA". In Trusted Publishers you should be able to find me ("Peter L. Dowson", but maybe not yet, if you haven't clcicked on such. I certainly should NOT be listed in "Untrusted Publishers". There was a problem on one Russian installation which used a Cyrillic character set as part of the FS path name. However, yours appears to be okay ("C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\MODULES" -- except, of course, that the Program Files location is the very worst place to let FS install itself into on Vista. Apart from FSUIPC you may get lots of problems from other add-ons as Vista protects all folders in "Program Files". If you've only just installed it it may be a good idea to uninstall it and reinstall to somewhere like "C:\FS9" -- I think you'll get far less hassle in the future, as you add more things. Regards Pete
Burger Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Hello Pete, The fsuipc.dll rightmouseclick resulted in the message that your signature is ok. So I don't think there could be a problem there. But: I did find the GlobalSign Root CA listed at the place you suggested but I couldn't find the GlobalSign and your signature at the specified locations. So they are missing. I tried to import them but I am not a real computerbuff so maybe you could help me there. I am running a Windows Vista Home Premium system in the wonderful Dutch language. Kind regards, M. Burger.
Burger Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 Hello Pete, I've already fixed the problem (your signature)! Thanks for the quick reply's and the way you treated my undoubtedbly "simple" questions. Very good service. Thanks again and keep up the good work! M. Burger.
Pete Dowson Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 I've already fixed the problem (your signature)! Ah, well done! What did you have to do to fix it in the end? Regards Pete
