lantan Posted May 24, 2008 Report Posted May 24, 2008 Hi Everybody I have started using Saitek Pro Flight Yoke with latest drivers from Saitek web site. I have also downloaded, as required, new version of FSUIPC - 3.81. Unfortunatelly when I open FSUIPC application from Modules section in FS, and next try to register FSUIPC, my FS crashed - it doesn't respond on any key pressures or mouse movements. Could you help me? What cause this problem? Thanks Regards Grzegorz
jrgabriel720 Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Try uninstalling the Saitek driver and use whatever Windows assigns... You don't really need the driver if you'd opt to control it via FSUIPC -- which is the better option. If FS9 crashes still, it may be a dll problem. I have the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke too and use it with FSUIPC 3.75 -- and it works perfect. Try an earlier version of FSUIPC and see if the problem persists. I was looking at upgrading my FSUIPC too but read something in the release notes that might conflict with LevelD's controls -- so decided to remain with 3.75 - besides, I made a lot of configurations to control my setup that I don't want to redo if ever.
Pete Dowson Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 I was looking at upgrading my FSUIPC too but read something in the release notes that might conflict with LevelD's controls -- so decided to remain with 3.75 - besides, I made a lot of configurations to control my setup that I don't want to redo if ever. The conflicts with LevelD were present in 3.75 and removed later. There was always an option which fixed it in any case, but it wasn't realised it was needed. I simply reversed the option so it is defaulted. The current (supported) version of FSUIPC is fully compatible with LevelD whilst 3.75 might not be (depending on parameters). There's never ever been a need to redo any setups when upgrading FSUIPC versions. Not ever. Pete
