luckydrum Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Hi Pete. Trying to use Aerosoft "Flight Deck Companion" I installed FSUIPC4 to be used with my FSX Deluxe Version. Since then, i can't use my FSX with Modules folder installed in anymore. I red about problems with anti-viruses security softwares and tried to uninstall them but all I achieved was I had a dialog window frozen"Run FSUIPC4" that stopped also FSX. Before this attempt, FSX crashed down exactly when the dialog window appeared. I'm using an AMD Athlon 64 processor, 3500+ 2.21 GHz, 2,00 GB RAM, Windows XP Professional, 2002 version Service Pack 2. Last but not...This is the first time I'm trying to use FSUIPC module on FSX. Thanks in advance

Sorry, what is producing this dialog window showing "run FSUIPC4"? There's no such dialog produced by anything of mine. Before this attempt, FSX crashed down exactly when the dialog window appeared. It sounds like something else, not FSUIPC4, is crashing then. What else have you installed, what else are you running? You need to identify what program it is which is producing that dialogue. FSUIPC4 starts up and runs silently, in the background. The only evidence you have that it is running is the FSUIPC entry in the FSX "Add-Ons" menu. This is the first time I'm trying to use FSUIPC module on FSX. Thanks in advance There will be two log files in the Modules folder, one for the FSUIPC Install and one from FSUIPC4 starting up when you run FSX. Show me those so I can check it is installed correctly. Meanwhile, stop whatever else you have added, like FDC, to see which is responsible for your problem. If it is only a prompt asking you to "run FSUIPC4" then it sounds as if you are starting up FDC, or whatever, too early, before FSX has loaded FSUIPC4 and the latter has made its interface ready. But in that case, FSX should continue and all you'd need to do is allow FDC (or whatever) to continue afterwards. Plrase note that after tonight (Friday) I am away until June 10th. Anyway, you may need to seek help from FDC support, or the support for whichever add-on is causing the problem. Regards Pete
