luisgordo Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Peter, My question is simple: My application uses WideFS to communicate with FSUIPC over a LAN. A user asks if the WideFS connection can spread over the internet: This is: PC#1: Running FS (wideserver running) PC#2 (on a remote location): Running my application and wideclient. Both computers connect to each other via the internet. Thanks. Best regards, Luis Gordo
Pete Dowson Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 My question is simple: My application uses WideFS to communicate with FSUIPC over a LAN. A user asks if the WideFS connection can spread over the internet: This is: PC#1: Running FS (wideserver running) PC#2 (on a remote location): Running my application and wideclient. Both computers connect to each other via the internet. Sorry, but I don't know. I've never tried it. I do not deliberately filter out the IP addresses to match any particular masking, so if anexplicitly supplied IP address (in the WideClient.INI file) refers to an internet-connected PC I don't see why it should not work. Let me know. Regards Pete
luisgordo Posted October 29, 2008 Author Report Posted October 29, 2008 Thanks Pete for your prompt reply. I'll let you know as soon as I get some feedback. Regards, Luis Gordo
