pbenoit Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 Hi Petebest of luck with this new schemeI sincerely hope it works out for you!! I purchased my registration for FSUIPC yesterday, installed and registered it fine. Also downloaded the new ADVDISP and PFC DLLs. Did a couple of flightsone with the Dream Fleet Cardinal and another with the F1 Meridian all with the new software, including Reality XP's upgradesflew with FS_Meteo and RC3 on both flights so EXCELLENT. Li most people with the SSW A310, I cannot use FS2002 while the SSWA310.DLL is installed in the Modules folder. It does not coexist at all with the REALITY software, i.e. you cannot start any aircraft with the Reality Garmin or Flightline install .. with the Meridian, you get a Blue Screen of Death, the others simply crash to the desktop. Ok .. with the new versions of the DLLs as I indicated above, the SSW A310 will not start at allI get to the window menu, and FS2002 quickly crashes to the desktop. If I remove the SSWA310 DLL, all is finethere is LOG for the "all else is fine situation" Can you tell from the LOG what is happening, Is there a debug in FSUIPC that I can use to help find what is going on? with the SSWA310.DLL installed: ********* FSUIPC, Version 3.01 by Pete Dowson ********* User Name="Paul Benoit" User Addr="pbenoit@beld.net" FSUIPC Key="xxxxxxxxxxxxx" WideFS Key="" WIDEFS not user registered, or expired ClassOptions: UIPCMAIN=FF7F, FS98MAIN=FF7F, FS2KMAIN=FF5E WeatherOptions(Orig)=0020220B[0020220B] InitDelay: 3 seconds 11422 System time = 15:08:12 Internal Debug Code 15 11422 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\ 13437 FLIGHTS\OTHER\FLTSIM.flt 13484 AIRCRAFT\c172\Cessna172SP.air WHAM to the desktop!!!! with the SSWA10 DLL NOT installed. ********* FSUIPC, Version 3.01 by Pete Dowson ********* User Name="Paul Benoit" User Addr="pbenoit@beld.net" FSUIPC Key="xxxxxxxxxx" WideFS Key="" WIDEFS not user registered, or expired ClassOptions: UIPCMAIN=FF7F, FS98MAIN=FF7F, FS2KMAIN=FF5E WeatherOptions(Orig)=0020220B[0020220B] InitDelay: 3 seconds 9516 System time = 15:23:43 Internal Debug Code 15 9516 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\ 11375 FLIGHTS\OTHER\FLTSIM.flt 11422 AIRCRAFT\c172\Cessna172SP.air 12063 Client Application: "fs2002" (Id=1024) 12063 C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\fs2002.exe 12063 Product="Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002" 12063 Company="Microsoft Corporation" 15047 System time = 15:23:48, FS2002 time = 15:23:46 (20:23Z) 15079 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 15079 ADVDRV.DLL has been patched for weather and other variables 15079 Saving original winds by Window Position Changes 15079 Everlasting rain/snow fix installed 20844 FLIGHTS\MYFLTS\UI Generated Temporary Flight.flt 21110 Clear All Weather requested: external weather discarded 70329 AIRCRAFT\FSD C-115\FSD C-115_2002.air 99797 System time = 15:25:13, FS2002 time = 15:24:01 (20:24Z) 99797 *** FSUIPC log file being closed Memory managed: 2 Allocs, 1 Freed ********* FSUIPC Log file closed ********* I don;t believe this is a FSUIPC issuebut I am sure you will hear of this eventuallyOr maybe it is simple just me ... Pete Dowson Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 Li most people with the SSW A310, I cannot use FS2002 while the SSWA310.DLL is installed in the Modules folder.... If I remove the SSWA310 DLL, all is finethere is LOG for the "all else is fine situation"Can you tell from the LOG what is happening, Is there a debug in FSUIPC that I can use to help find what is going on? No, there is nothing there that shows any interaction with SSWA310.DLL at all. What is that DLL in any case? I've never heard of it. Does it even use FSUIPC? Does it run without FSUIPC installed? If it gives so many problems in any case, surely the suppliers have something to say about it? Sorry, but I really don't think I can be of any assistance in this case. But keep us posted. Regards, Pete
pbenoit Posted July 27, 2003 Author Report Posted July 27, 2003 Pete, Thanks for the quick replyapologies for the 2nd duplicate postnot quite sure how that happened ... The SSWA310.DLL is installed with the SSW A310 Masters editionA310 Airbus addon. I think it does use FSUIPC but I'm certainly not sure. I think the DLL must contain something which the addon uses .. and I am pretty sure that it adds an item to the FS2002 menu .. similarly as LAGO and PIC 767 do, Thanks for looking, appreciatre your help!!!
pbenoit Posted July 28, 2003 Author Report Posted July 28, 2003 In the event some other poor soul runs into the same issue as I did, the answer is now clear. With the recent Reality Gauges update, AND when starting the Cessna as default in the FS2002 start, AND having the SSWA310.DLL installed in the moduled folderwhan to the desktop. Wellwhen the Reality Gauges are installed, they install into the default Cessna soremoving any reference to the reality gauges from the Cessna panel config .. fixes the problem you can then move the SSWA310.DLL in to the modules folder when you want to use the A310, and out when you want to use anything else. Hope this helps some of you!! PeteI simply don;t know how you eep all of this straight!!!!!
Pete Dowson Posted July 28, 2003 Report Posted July 28, 2003 PeteI simply don;t know how you eep all of this straight!!!!! Er .. I don't. Well, I've certainly not got any of that straight! . Thanks. Pete
