ChrisBrett Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 Hi Pete, and other IPC gurus, Quick question - is there a method to request FSUIPC executes a loaded macro programatically using WriteStateData or some other new function call? The requirement is to be able to have a 3rd-party EXE have FSUIPC perform some macro functions. I've had a browse of the FSUIPC and the SDK documentation but can't find a reference to this. Cheers Chris

I've had a browse of the FSUIPC and the SDK documentation but can't find a reference to this. Sorry. It was added a lot later (versions 4.40 and 3.85, last November) and hasn't yet made it to the SDK documentation. It is documented fully, however, in the History document, installed in the FSX modules folder or included in the FSUIPC3 Zip. The same facility can be used to execute macros (by name) and Lua plug-ins. Look for offsets 0D6C and 0D70. Regards Pete
ChrisBrett Posted January 21, 2009 Author Report Posted January 21, 2009 Hi Pete, Thank you for the information, and as always, perfectly documented. Many thanks. I trust you are keeping well these days. Kind regards, Chris
Pete Dowson Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 Many thanks. I trust you are keeping well these days. Yes, I'm okay, thanks, except for the eye problems getting worse month by month now, not even year by year. But that was more or less expected with this Retinitis Pigmentosa condition. Are you still flying all over the place, or have you settled into software/hardware development full time now? Regards Pete
ChrisBrett Posted January 22, 2009 Author Report Posted January 22, 2009 Hi Pete, I'm sorry to hear your eye condition is not improving. I am indeed still flying the world, but doing more and more sim stuff these days as well. Hard to believe its been over 10 years now since I discovered FS95 and the journey began! Kind regards, Chris
