rusblag Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 Hello Pete, after re-installing fs9, I placed the FSUIPC Reg.file in the modules folder...then downloaded the latest FSUIPC dll and put that in the modules folder. It works perfectly..but..it's registered in someones name I've never heard of, complete with unknown email address. I've just notified Sim Market, but thought I'd better let you know too. Regards, Russell.
Pete Dowson Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 after re-installing fs9, I placed the FSUIPC Reg.file in the modules folder Do you mean the FSUIPC.KEY file? There's no "Reg" file. ...then downloaded the latest FSUIPC dll and put that in the modules folder. It works perfectly..but..it's registered in someones name I've never heard of, complete with unknown email address. The name and email are in the KEY file you copied -- so the question then is -- where did you get it from? Please ZIP it up and send it to me at petedowson@btconnect.com. Can you also please tell me the VERSION number of the "latest FSUIPC dll", as "Latest" really means nothing exact, depending where you are looking. Thanks. You will need to find your real registration details (in your account at SimMarket) and re-register correctly, because i will probably have to disable that one you've got a copy of from somewhere. Regards Pete
rusblag Posted February 21, 2009 Author Report Posted February 21, 2009 Pete, I cut the Reg. file out of my own fs9 modules folder, and put it in a spare folder, before I uninstalled fs9. After reinstallig fs9, I put the SAME Reg. file back in the modules folder, then ver. 3.8.7.4.dll It's the ONLY FSUIPC Reg. file on my computer. I simply moved it from one place to another..then back again. I have now got it correctly registered in my name. I SHOULD have thought of doing this before. I deleted the Reg. file, restarted fs9, then was able to register it in my name. Trouble is, it's that sort of unexplainable ( and what you would think was impossible) thing that makes, for me, the process of getting everything back up and working such a bloody nightmare. Thanks for your incredibly fast response. I'll get that reg. file out the bin and send it to you. Regards, Russell.
rusblag Posted February 21, 2009 Author Report Posted February 21, 2009 Ooops, sorry...yes...KEY file, sorry, I used the wrong word. Russell.

After reinstallig fs9, I put the SAME Reg. file back in the modules folder Well that KEY file most certainly was not yours, and never could have been. Sorry, I've no idea how you got it, but look inside it -- it is only a text file. It is obviously someone else's KEY file, not yours! If copies of that file are flying around the aether and installing themselves automatically into folks PCs I'd be amazed, but I will have to disable that chap's key in any case. Thanks & Regards Pete
