Hi Pete,

Thanks for the new Version of FSUIPC,but have a little Problem with it,since i´ve installed the registered 3.90 ,the Scenery Design Tool SceneGenX cannot connect with FSUIPC,there is no "Flight Sim Position " possible :( the older Versions of FSUIPC works with SceneGenX without any Problems.

I´ve tried to reinstall (incl.Registry clean)SceneGenX but,nothing changed,only works with older FSUIPC.Can you help me ?

Thanks !

Andreas, :)

There's no change which would have done that unless that program simply doesn't like the version number! What are the version number(s) of these "older" FSUIPCs it works with?

The interface is the same for all programs, so if it doesn't work for that it wouldn't work for any, which is patently not so, in general.

Are you a Registered user? If so, try removing the FSUIPC.KEY file from the FS Modules folder, to make it temporarily unregistered. Then try your program. If that then works, you have a registration problem. ZIP up the FSUIPC.KEY file and send it to me at petedoswon@btconnect.com and I'll check it here.

strange. Can you enable FSUIPC's IPC read and write logging (on the Logging tab), then try SCENEGENX and close FS. Show me the Log (or send it to me Zipped if it is too big).

Now i install both Programms on my Notebook, and it works !,no Problems to connect Flight Simulator :o ,it seems it´s a Computer Problem,i remember there was a Hard Drive crash on my PC about two Weeks ago and and i must use the System Repair to get it work again, maybe something happend somewhere.

When i try to reset the Settings in SceneGenX,i get a failure Sreen with "Error in SceneGenX Registry...cannot be cleared..."

So i must look in the Registry again,or maybe there ist another Setting file for that, well hide

But thank you very much for your very quick help ! :D

But in that case how does it work on that PC with 3.81? Or are you saying you didn't re-check with such an old version?

No,i didn´t re-check it with older Versions. But now i let run a special Registry search Tool trough the Registry and wow !,there are many SceneGenX entry´s which i didn´t see before, with the normal Windows regedit search window.I delete them and reinstall the Programm and now it works, wonderful ! :D

I am having almost the same problem, I am Using the A340 professional and I cannot get it to fly right unless I get the FSUIPC key for 3.90, is there anyway I can get one?

SceneGenX?

I am Using the A340 professional and I cannot get it to fly right

Er, how is this related to SceneGenX and therefore "almost the same problem"?

... unless I get the FSUIPC key for 3.90, is there anyway I can get one?

Can you explain how you tried this without one? How is FSUIPC in any way related to any A340?

Please explain a little more. It looks to me like you should have statrted a completely new thread, unless you are saying that SceneGenX is interfering with your A340 and you are, for some reason, blaming FSUIPC?

Well i was hoping that you would be able to provide a temporary key for the registration, I don't believe it is fair to pay more for this key when you bought an add on and a the flight simulator as well.

There are hardly any add-ons i know of which need you to pay for FSUIPC -- you do NOT purchase FSUIPC for its interface to Add-Ons. All the key will do for you is unlock the user facilities, for joysticks, button assignments and so on. If you look at the documentation supplied in the FSUIPC ZIP you would see what it would be you were paying for -- and none of it is related to add-on support!

I think you must be totally misunderstanding something fundamental. If you have problems with an Add On, please go seek help from their support.

Please do NOT buy FSUIPC hoping it will solve an add-on problem. It won't.

Now, I was told in ordr for me to register this, I would have to buy the key for it, my apologies for being a little off topic.

What, to Register FSUIPC, as in the picture you supplied? Why supply a picture in any case? I wrote FSUIPC, I know what it looks like!

Yes, in order to Register FSUIPC you have to buy a Key. But why do you want to Register FSUIPC? If it is to use the user facilities that FSUIPC offers, then fine. They are all described in the User Guide, which I assume you must have read so you appreciate what you are paying for.

If you are buying it just to run an Add-On, then I think you are mistaken. As I said, there are very few add-ons indeed which need a Registered FSUIPC.

I have told you this before, but you don't seem to read what I write. :-(
