It would overwrite the (very) old version im also in vista It sounds like you let FS install into its default place in Program Files, which of course are all protected in Vista. That's quite messy. Because FS2004 is not Vista aware, and doesn't obey the rules of a Vista program, the Vista system actually keeps the folders for FS elsewhere. What you see in Explorer isn't the real Modules folder but an aliassed one. I think you can get around this by running Windows Explorer by right-clicking on it and selecting "Run As administrator", then copying the new DLL over the old one. Pete
