etienne Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Good evening, I fly with FS9 on PMDG 737-700. I recently acquired your software (FSUIPC 3.90). I'd like to control the aircraft with external buttons, connected to a USB card IO. How Can I make a button to control an item of overhead (the shortcut is not listed in FS9 of course, and not in PMDG menu) as "Cooling Equip" or "no smoking" or "Yamp damper" .. . Is there a way to find the shortcuts for PMDG and incorporate them in FSUIPC ? Can I add a marcro mouse to control those switchs ? I try, but I don't arrived with this solution ... Thank you in advance for your reply. Mr. CLEMENT (Sorry for my English)
Pete Dowson Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Is there a way to find the shortcuts for PMDG and incorporate them in FSUIPC ? Not "shortcuts", but you can create controls which you can then assign to buttons or keyboard shortcuts. For the PMDG add-ons I think everyone has had good success with using the "mouse macro" facility in FSUIPC for this. Can I add a marcro mouse to control those switchs ? I try, but I don't arrived withthis solution ... Just for those particular switches, or aren't you having success with any? If you can't make it work with any of the switches you need to tell me exactly what you are doing, because you are going wrong somewhere. If only with the ones you mention, then I don't know if PMDG actually has any code behind all of the switches -- if they don't actually do anything, they may just be decorative graphics. Mouse macros have to have actual code inside the panel software to call. A mere graphics effect only won't be usable -- there's little point in any case. The whole idea behind using the mouse macros was to be able to use them WITHOUT the graphic even being on screen. If you only want to see a switch toggle on screen then either use the mouse, or take a look at Luciano napolitano's "Key2Mouse" program. Regards Pete
etienne Posted March 23, 2009 Author Report Posted March 23, 2009 Good evening and thank you for your quick response .... Indeed, I used wrong "create mouse Macro". I've tried many times and I've understood how it's works. Now, I have a switch (decorative) that I can activate (fuel pump) with my joystick This is useless, but it's more realistic! I can buy an I/O card now... Again thank you.
